Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

  • 2006 F150 Harley Edition Rules - 2006 Ford F-150

Previously I owned a 2001 Harley Edition and experienced no problems. I updated by purchasing the 2006 Harley Edition and couldnt be happier. This truck rules the road. There are more amenities in this truck than in some luxury cars. If you are looking for a truck that will turn heads, this is the one!

Traded in my Cadillac for the F-150. The truck had more gadgets than the Escalade, & cost less. I have a 16 Y.O. F-250 that I cant wear out, hope this truck is as good.

Powerful 5.4L V-8 pulls our 7,500 pound fifth-wheel with ease (in both 2WD & 4WD). Beautiful King Ranch leather is soft yet durable. It is a wonderful combination of form and function! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a reliable, great looking truck! Outstanding value for $35,000.

  • F150 was great - 2001 Ford F-150

This truck runs great, gets 21 MPG highway and has plenty of power. Im going in for a brake job at 59,000 miles and had no other problems. Shifts well, the 4.6 liter engine is smooth and delivers 231 HP. Lots of space and passengers love it too. Bed is 5.5 feet long but served me well as I can easily put 4x8 sheet of plywood in. Other trucks including 6 cylinder Rangers, Toyotas and Dodges just dont deliver the gas mileage that this truck does.

  • Heaven - 2005 Ford F-150

I love this truck! I had an Expedition before this truck and no comparison. Much more power. It pulls my 3 horse trailer (with no electric brake hooked up) like a dream. Love the interior with the gear shift in the center.

  • Exceeding my expectations - 2002 Ford F-150

Ive had my 2WD XLT Supercrew 4.6L for three months and love it. I prefer the exterior 03 design vs. the new 04 look and with the 5yr/0.0% payment option I got a great deal on a truck that is built on a proven manufacturing platform. I suggest the captains chairs with its "grand canyon" center console, the 6 disc CD that loads easily and the bigger tires P255/70R (the standard size tire on the 2WD is to small for the wheel wells). I was impressed with the amount of options that come standard with the truck.

  • Tough and looks good - 2008 Ford F-150

I own the 2008 Ford F-150 regular cab 2WD with the 4.2L V6, auto trans w/ OD. It has 80,000 miles as if this review. There are two types of regular cabs. One that has no 3rd and 4th opening doors and one that does. I have the reg cab model that has the little side opening doors. You have to open the main doors and then the sides open up to add tools and stuff to store behind the front bench seat. It is awesome to have this. I only recommend having the little extra room like I have, or the larger capacity with fold down bench or the crew cab. The reason I suggest this is because the little side window that comes on those 3rd and 4th opening doors is crucial to being able to look through before changing lanes. Okay here is my review....this truck is pretty stout, and looks damn good. I also own a 1995 F-150 and the 2008 F150 is much larger, higher, and has a lot of room inside. The area between where you sit and the side of the door is further away than the older models so the engineers obviously had safety in mind when designing this model for side impact. The truck sits much higher than older models and gives you a commanding view of the road. The 4.2L V6 is plenty for what I need and gets really good gas mileage in my opinion. The auto trans w/ OD is nice for towing and also for city driving. I prefer auto trans on trucks because in some cases with manual you have to slide the seat forward too close to the airbag to engage the clutch. I did my research on the 4.2L V6 and it is bullet proof. It has the timing chain too so it should last the life of the truck. I dont want to talk trash about other engines offered during this time period so I will just leave you to do your own research. If youre a lead footed driver that likes to abuse your truck and race all over the place the 4.2L V6 is not going to give you that 0-60mph in 2 sec performance you seek. If you drive moderately and cruise 75-85mph on the freeway the 4.2L will do fine and still has plenty of power left to pass if you need to at those speeds. Youll drive past gas stations if you drive with any respect for your vehicle. I expect to get many miles out of my truck as it has performed great for me and still looks like a new model. Only complaint I have is the bed of the truck sits high and if you like to load and retrieve things from the side then you better be 6ft tall.

  • Very Nice Truck - 2003 Ford F-150

This truck is by far the most reliable of them yet. Maybe after a few years then new F-150s will bypass the milestone Ford has set for the reliability of its F-150 models.

I needed a vehicle that could haul 5 adult passengers, a reasonable sized payload, do well on snowy and icy roads (Montana), and do well on eroded, rocky, unmaintained forest service road. I think I bought the perfect vehicle. It is truly fun vehicle to drive and rides extremely well. I am tired after a 12 hour drive, but not exhausted. It get reasonably good gas mileage (not great) for big truck. Thus far it has been extremely reliable. I love my truck and look for reason to drive it.

  • Nice, but - 2005 Ford F-150

An excellent vehicle except for 3 things: tall rear end makes visibility bad out the back, lack of dead pedal leaves no firm spot for left foot, and freewheeling transmission prevents use of cruise control in mildly hilly terrain. Traded it for a Murano after 8000 miles.
