Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

My 9 year review - 1996 Ford F-150
By Mike - August 9 - 1:59 pmI ordered this truck in March of 96. Ive been the only owner since. It has been a great truck for me for the past nine years. Ive only put 2 sets of tires,1 set of brakes, 1 battery and 1 exhaust system on her. Im getting ready to turn 100K miles soon. I highly recommend this year Ford truck to anyone.

Exceeded My High Expectations - 2004 Ford F-150
By Shawnski - August 8 - 2:00 amWhat a treat is has been to own (lease) this vehicle thus far. Forgiving Ford design features (superb drivability, easy to use controls) combined with built from brick structure and high quality (Mercedes levels if not BMW) materials and thorough assembly. Its like a huge Mazda Rx8 in that it feels special and sporty with the ability to haul virtually anything a suburban household needs...Dont let the reports of underachieving engine steer you away, as typical with Ford Modular V8s it takes some miles before it performs as mine now feels like it has an actual 300 hp.

Lacking - 2001 Ford F-150
By billco - August 7 - 10:00 amIf all you are interested in is high performance, I guess this is fine. Special oil, air filter only sold by ford and has to be ordered. Paint quality is terrible, and what is that 1 inch gap on either side of the dash about? Also the brakes are lousy.

2003 FX4 Super Crew 5.4L - 2003 Ford F-150
By Thomas - August 7 - 5:19 amI enjoy this truck. It has the 5.4 and still the power isnt overwhelming (but more than enough to haul or tow easily). The looks are great (I prefer this style to the 2004+). I did and do have problems with the build quality, the roof rain rails of the FX4 were unpainted from factory, and the dealership made me less than happy. But interior quality of the Ford is fantastic, its easy to drive and smooth and comfortable. Ive always had fantastic luck with the reliability of Fords (even if I have to have a little less performance).

Best designed truck - 2004 Ford F-150
By awol - August 3 - 8:40 amTraded a 1997 for the 2004. Big difference in ride and handling. I usually drive to work and back, sometimes carry a few to lunch. Great comfort. Loaded 1300# of sod on the weekend and pushed it up towards the cab. Hardly knew it was there. 5.4 Triton is powerful. Stops on a dime with change.

Luxury Truck....SWEET - 2003 Ford F-150
By J - August 2 - 11:04 pmI have owned several small trucks and planned on buying a new Ford due to the great employee discounts. While looking, I found this 2003 F150 super crew Lariat FX4 with 31,000 miles. The options it had were amazing (power moonroof, heated seat, etc.). I felt like I was driving a luxury car. They wanted a lot of money but I did it and it is still early, but I LOVE THIS TRUCK! Its powerful, smooth, comfortable and SHARP. I hope I still feel this way in the years to come. AWESOME TRUCK (even though the dealer stuck it to me).
