Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

The stares you get for driving this truck make it worth every penny. The sweet whistle of the supercharger brings tears to my eyes!!!

My F150 XLT Supercab, 4.2L, 6 cylinder automatic currently has 83,000 miles on the odometer. At under $19,000 new, it is one of the lowest cost, well equipped, six passenger vehicles available. It has only had one problem with a failure of the coil assembly. It was relatively low cost to repair & did not leave me dead out on the road. We use it as our primary vehicle for our family of four. It enables to go where we want, when we want & bring whatever we want. I have been rear-ended twice. The structure held up well & suffered minimal damage in both accidents. I plan on keeping this truck for at least ten years. I would recommend it for anyone wanting reliable people & cargo space.

I have owned my truck for only two months. The comfort and initial quality of the vehicle are outstanding. It provides a smooth quiet ride and plenty of power to get the job done. The steering and handling are superb, especially considering the size of the vehicle. The appearance and styling of the vehicle is second to none. No other truck on the market, in my opinion, can match the tough, bold, appearance of the Ford.

  • Great Truck - 2004 Ford F-150

I traded in a 2002 Lariat CrewCab fully loaded. My new 2004 is a great truck. It has a heavy feel to it and rides on the highway like a dream. The fuel economy improves daily as the engine breaks in. Overall, I am very, very happy with this vehicle and the dealership I bought it from in Memphis.

I bought my Ford F-150 XL SB from my Dad 4 years ago. It had 111K on it. I had a brand new Jeep Cherokee and sold it to buy my Dads. It was very clean and was finally broken in for me. My Dad bought a new 2002 Ford F-150 thinking the 1994 had too many miles to do any traveling. After driving his 2002 for a couple of months, he wanted his old one back. Sorry Dad, I waited 9 years to get this one!

  • This Truck SAVED my life I love it. - 2010 Ford F-150

Update: My truck and I were in a massive crash with another vehicle. It hit me from the right side. Both side curtain airbags deployed perfectly. The Driver Side one SAVED MY LIFE!! Even though my truck may be a total loss, I am alive and with minor injuries and NO Head Injuries. You can rest assured that you are safe in this truck. Front brakes dont last long. Even expensive ones. Mostly due to the weight. It is super comfy for long road trips. Gas mileage is decent. I dont like the 6 speed automatic. Engine has plenty of power for whatever you need. Huge bed in this one.

So far this is the best truck I have ever owned. The sound system is awsome, the handling is great, it has a lot of power and great comfort.

  • Fun truck but a lemon - 1991 Ford F-150

Great truck for hard road until about 40,000 miles pin broke in engine and it had to be rebuilt. 60,000 miles, transmission had to be rebuilt has a history of problems and after talking to many different owners, sellers, repair shops, the 91 F150 has a long history of major repairs. Transmission is too small for truck, which appears to be a history problem with Ford products. Universal joint had to be replaced at about 50,000, and so on. This truck was rarely used off road except to keep the 4x4 system lubed. Paint had heavy oxidation at about 20,000 miles easily comes back with every buff or chemical oxidation removal.

  • HUGE Disappointment! - 2005 Ford F-150
    By -

This truck is a huge disappointment. With all the hype, I just cant see it. The engine runs like crud. It wont idle. The gas mileage is horrible. It has the power but there is no throttle response. CPU programming they tell me. Then fix it! The drive by wire was a mistake. Ford used to have the best cruise control in the business. Now, because of the lack of throttle response, there is a significant lag. The air conditioning is only cool, not cold! Again they say CPU programming. Also, Id like to shoot the guy that thought up the deeper bed. You cant reach into it. They seem to be trying to phase out the SuperCab longbed and shortbeds are useless so they make deeper beds instead.
