Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

  • Awesome Truck - 2004 Ford F-150
    By -

The Ford F-150 lariat rides like a dream. I feel like I am driving a luxury car but it has the added utility of a truck. I recently hauled several loads near the trucks half ton capacity. It drove like a dream. There was no noticible loss of power. It accelerated and braked like it always does.

  • Very nice truck - 2004 Ford F-150

The ride and comfort of these new trucks are unbeliveable. I am very satisfied with the performance and style of my FX4. I liked the interior of this model better than the wood grain of the Lariat. The preimium sound system is worth the money. The quiality of the leather is unbeatable and very comfortable. The back seat has more room than the explorer my wife has. I wish the bed was a little bigger. I use as a work truck and keep tools in a speacial tool box for the 2004 f-150s. The tool box takes up a lot of room and leaves little room for any kind of load.

  • Unbelievable - 2004 Ford F-150
    By -

I knew 2 guys that purchased the new F- 150 and all they said was unbelievable. That is all I can say now!!! I was a former ford owner that was won over by the design and reliability of this truck. For the extra money the FX4 is the only way to go. This truck is by far the best truck I have ever sat in. I have had this truck less than a week and I have never been so excited to drive a truck in my life. I put over 700 miles on it and I am still at 15.5mpg. Cant really play too much with the throttle or the mpg drops significantly.

  • Poor Mans Lightning - 2003 Ford F-150

I bought the truck mainly because of the body style and price. I wanted a inexpensive truck that still looked good. I have owned two Rangers and a 2001 SuperCrew and this truck is as nice as those were. This is the same body style as the SVT Lightning and I have lowered it and had the windows tinted and added 18 inch chrome wheels. It is a very sharp looking truck and and after being lowered handles great and is still functional as a daily driver and part time hauler. Cassette player was replaced with a CD unit so the only upgrade needed now is a dual exhaust and cold air intake. Rides great, looks good, didnt cost an arm and a leg what more could you ask for!

  • My Trucks my best friend - 1997 Ford F-150

This truck has been awesome. I wish it had more power sometimes, but it is unstoppable. I pull two horses with it and it has a hard time with that sometimes, and I have spoken to other F 150 owners and they have seen a similar trait of exhaust leaks in the exhaust manifold. I have yet to fix mine, but it hasnt effected performance at all. I have had to fix nothing on this thing in the three years that I have owned it and it has 160,000 miles on it now.

  • Big and Handsome - 2004 Ford F-150

Nice in many ways, comfort, style and performance. Very good build quality and paint is smooth. I have the 5.4 liter and there was no selection on this review menu for my configuration. I am getting 16-17 miles on the hwy.

  • Why 15-16 mpg on V6, 2018 F-150 Platinum? - 2018 Ford F-150
    By -

I just took ownership of a Ford F-150 Platinum. Edmunds didnt allow me to state I have a V6, it forced me to say V8. Anyway, I just drove 600 highway miles between Santa Fe and Ft. Worth area. No a/c, no unusual wind. No speeding or unusual driving. Ford says this truck should get 23 mpg-highway. I got between 15 and 16. Im not dumb enough to expect exactly 23, but this is so far off, I have to lodge a complaint. I know the fuel history gauge has to be sorta broken in, so I calculated mileage the old fashioned way, dividing miles driven by actual fuel used. What the deal with this $60,000 truck that gets the worst gas mileage of any truck Ive ever owned? By the way, Edmunds would let me enter year 2018. It forced me to enter 2017, but truck is new 2018.

  • Heritage Edition 2003 - 2003 Ford F-150

A Beauty of a truck. Gets stares from people that drive a $60,000 car. Roomy Up front, but not for grown ups in the back. Kids will be fine though.

  • Tough Safe Truck - 2005 Ford F-150
    By -

I owned a 2004 SuperCab that was a piece of junk. Many problems! I traded for a 2005 Supercrew Lariat. After 800 miles someone turned in front of me when I was going 45 mph. Air bag went off, and $13,500 worth of damage to truck. All in front of doors. I hurt my hand on the steering wheel when it spun out of control, but I was not injured severely. If I would have been in a Chevy, I would not have been so lucky. They might not be the fastest or stop the quickest, but I believe they are the safest! And they ride and look better than all the rest!
