Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Lemon Truck - 2004 Ford F-150
By Vincent G. Manikan - January 21 - 10:00 amI picked up my brand new F-150 Lariat 4X4 on 30APR04 and at 108 miles(11 hours old), it died! Until now it is still being worked on. The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) & the fuel pressure regulator sensor had been replaced. Now there is a "transmission malfunction" and the odometer, speedometer, and the overdrive is not working. Its a total LEMON!!!

2004 F150 - 2004 Ford F-150
By michaeltk1 - January 21 - 2:44 amThe truck has the standard 4.6 that has good power and torque but could be better. It is an XL model but came with a lot of standard features. It is minimal but its what I like. But with a family of five I have to make sure everyone is comfortable when we all have to go in it and it does that well. I have only had one issue and that was with the trailer wiring and I will have to pay for that one myself because I didnt discover the defect until after the warranty expired! A longer warranty period would be nice. Overall it has been over 52,000 uneventful miles. I am planning my next Ford truck purchase and it will be an F250 or 350.

Great Truck - 1996 Ford F-150
By kryke1 - January 19 - 2:32 pmThis is a great truck. I use it for hauling horse trailers and construction. It is great for going up hills and for 4WD. With a few extras it has great handling and speed.

its a Ford - 1994 Ford F-150
By F-150freak - January 18 - 3:58 pmI love my F-150. I have had no issues with it, and I have put on custom wheels and it still rides like a dream. I just wish more people would fix them up, and not just use them for work horses. I treat it like my third child. It is safe and up high so I feel like I can see everything when driving. I would recommend the F-150 to everyone. Mine is a 1994 and has all the sexiness of a new one. I love Fords! P.S I am a 30 year old female, and would recommend one for all gals with spirit!

I would buy again - 1999 Ford F-150
By John - January 17 - 8:12 amI have replaced 3 ignition coils, all on the number 1 cylinder. I dont know why, but 3 on the same one seems kind of weird. I also had a fuel pump replaced last year. Other than that, its been very reliable, and its used in rough service. I have many short trips to and from work, and I often tow my boats with it. It has plenty of power, and it looks, rides, and runs like new.

Very dependable used truck - 2000 Ford F-150
By Bob H. - January 16 - 3:22 amI have owned Ford trucks for over 30 years and this one is the best. My only complaints are wind noise at highway speeds and fuel consumption. Overall it is a solidly built truck that is holding up well. 80,000 miles with no mechanical problems.

F150 - Dependable - 2000 Ford F-150
By davie - January 13 - 11:05 pmI have owned a 2000 F-150 for over two years now. I have been very pleased with everything but the mileage. At 14 MPG, I am not thrilled with the mileage. However, the ride is tolerable for a full-size pickup, and except for oil changes and tire rotations, I have had to do no maintenance. Very dependable, but thirsty truck.

Must have a lemon, interior awful - 2001 Ford F-150
By thetzel - January 13 - 3:44 pmBought this truck new, was not sure about getting leather interior, but had to, if I wanted the moon roof. Love the moon roof, hate the leather. Drivers seat started to crack the second year. Now its got a tiny split up by the driver headrest. The pass.side window quit working, this happened when I took it in because of pass. speaker going in and out.Back sliding window has started to leak. This truck does not get any abuse, husband and I are the only drivers. So no excuse, except interior products were lemons. Dont think we want another Ford F150 truck. We had a 1989 Ranger XLT, bought new, gave to son w/100,000 miles, had very good luck with it. Its still on the road. Not Happy W/this one
