Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

This isnt my first Ford truck, and Ive been very happy with them. I am a country boy and Im probably harder on my trucks than most people. This truck drives circles around my brothers Silverado out in the muddy fields, and I have had less repairs than he has. The only major repair has been a new clutch, which was my fault. I down graded from the 5.4 to the 4.6 this truck, and wish I had my 5.4 back. This is still a tough truck that is built solid.

This truck replaced a problematic 1999 Silverado. It drives great and holds the road well. Turning radius is tight. The 5.4 Triton has more than adequate power to pull a 30 travel trailer. The captains chairs are very comfortable and we like the lumbar supports and adjustable pedals since I am tall and my wife is short. The truck has been relatively trouble-free. In over four years I have only made three repairs outside normal maintenance. This included replacing a rear axle bearing, replacing the IAC valve, and replacing a rear rotor (warped due to heat generated by failing axle bearing). In all these repairs cost me about $400 total. Not bad for four years. I would buy another .

Awesome!!! Love my F150 cause its strong and reliable. I had a defective gas lid, but other than that, it has been an awesome vehicle. Tows stuff amazingly easy and is so comfortable cruising on highways at 83. I get good gas mileage for a huge vehicle as well... like 20-22 on the highway. If I had it to do over again, I would get the same vehicle, time and time over... Forget it Chevy and Dodge. This is the truck! Titan what??? Maybe in japan that truck would get some attention.

  • Overall a great truck - 2001 Ford F-150

Ive had my truck for 5 years now, and had relatively no problems. Oil change every 3-5k and been through one set of tires (40K, Generals stink!) and now getting ready to buy another set of tires @80K). Performance, well its a 6 cylinder with a 5 speed, so it is not too bad. Plenty of power for around town driving, have not done much towing of heavy stuff. Had to have the tires aligned at 80K ... not bad. The interior is designed VERY WELL. It is very comfortable, layout is very good. Overall a great truck.

I couldnt be much happier with my new truck. Has more power than my last truck sounds better and rides better too. The cab is spacious and comfortable and even the back seats are comfortable. I love my new truck.

This truck has it all. Even with the 4.6l engine it has plenty of horses. The interior quiet and comfort is first rate. Hey, the gas mileage is decent too. Getting 20mpg on highway.

  • Best truck on the road - 2004 Ford F-150

Anyone considering a truck, save time and just get the Ford. Toyota has no business calling the Tundra a truck - cant handle the road at all. Dodge and Chevy good, but this truck has it all. Ride and handling outstanding and looks slick doing it. Have owned 6 trucks, this is by far the most amazing.
