Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

This truck has been very reliable for me in the length of time that Ive owned it . Its never left me stranded anywhere. Just recently I completed some extensive work, like all new U joints, front disc rotors and brake pads, front bearings, clutch assembly, new tires interior is in excellent shape. Im the only one ever in it. Oh ya - also replaced bushings in I beam suspension.

  • Built Ford Tough, But Quiet - 2006 Ford F-150

Ever since I first test drove the vehicle, I was impressed with the vehicles quiet drive, response, and handling as though it were actually a sedan. The cabin presence I believe is unmatched and rivals the attention to detail of most European sedans. The heat treated box frame demonstration on the TV commercial, the results are unbelievable ... superior ride, roomy interior cabin.

  • looks great - 2005 Ford F-150

I love the 6.5 ft stepside bed with the extended cab look. Awesome looking vehicle, especially in black. Many people complain about the 4.6L power... but unless you are racing your truck, it is more than adequate. You cant expect 0-60s like a sports car in a full size pick up. The power has been more than adequate for me, the transmission gets it moving just fine. I got 17.7mpg on a recent 500 mile trip. Get the 35 gallon fuel tank, well worth it with the low MPG. I get about 15 day to day, which is what I am used to so it doesnt bother me much. Nice heavy truck, solid, and almost silent in the cab. Looks much more stylish than any other full size out there.

Fabulous truck. It glides down the road. Almost no road noise. Great suspension.

  • F150 Supercrew 2004 - 2004 Ford F-150

I owned a 2001 F150 Supercrew Lariat and loved it. I did a test drive of the 2004 and bought it that day. I really enjoy driving it with all the new comforts. Its unbelievable how quite it is. They did an excellent job in redesigning the truck.

  • 380 hp and 450 ft-lbs of torque! - 2001 Ford F-150

awesome performance--and Im still blown away that this is a pickup truck. I have what I finally need in a performance vehicle: power, high handling levels, great brakes, tastful but stylist exterior and interior design, exclusivity, and I can still haul items that I bought at Home Depot.

  • Big Blue Truck - 2006 Ford F-150

V6 auto is slow. Regular cab with a short bed is the most well-balanced look of any pickup. Ride with empty bed is too rough and bouncy over even small bumps. Since I drive it 99% of the time with no load, the current suspension setup is not my thing. Very smooth and quiet highway ride though. Never buy manual window and door locks again. It is a pain when going through tolls. Backup sensor is worth the money.
