Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

GREAT TRUCK - 2004 Ford F-150
By automaticj5 - October 31 - 10:59 pmI LOVE THIS truck. Much improved over an already great 03 F150. I like driving my 04 F150 better than I did my Cadillac that I traded in for it. Lacks a little in the "fast" category. But I didnt buy it to race. Love the design, very quiet inside.

F150 Regular Cab 4x4 XLT - 2004 Ford F-150
By Mike - October 31 - 7:58 pmI love this truck... Ive had a 89 F150 XLT, 97 Expedition, 2001 SuperCrew and now the 04 F150 XLT and I cant rave enough on how good this truck is. Towing is a dream, power is excellent, brakes are great, steering is tight and responsive. Only problems were a warranty recall on the rear axle, and a recurring dead battery since year one, which is a bad battery, but Ford wont replace it. Im going to try one more time, before our Minnesota winter to get them to pony up. Did the K&N filter and cut off the stock muffler for a Flowmaster 3" 3 chamber SUV series muffler and this thing sounds great without droning at any speed. I still get 15 mpg avg summer and 13 mpg avg winter! I drive it hard.

Happy with my STX - 2004 Ford F-150
By STX in North Dakota - October 29 - 1:43 pmGM owner all my life. Had a VW Jetta before this truck. In the shop more than a 3rd of the time I owned it. I now have this truck and a GMC Sierra SLT. I would say that between both of the trucks I would rather drive the Ford. More comfortable inside with STX package than GMC with leather and all the goodies. I would rather tow with the GMC, way more power. Both get equal MPG when not towing. Styling is better on the Ford. For an extended cab the Ford has more room for my sons car seat in the back. The 4.6 motor is definitely underpowered for serious hauling but works great for commuting and hunting/fishing. Pulls a small boat/camper with no problem. Would not tow more than that.

EXCELLENT WORKHORSE - 2004 Ford F-150
By MATT - October 27 - 10:02 pmOwning this truck has been very good, Mine is a basic no-frills model but compared to the competition this is an excellent choice, Skip the Hankook tires if you can, poor winter traction. The paint on front of the box behind the doors on the bottom is prone to early chipping. 4.6 engine is sufficient for most uses, 17 mpg avg. If you pull trailer a lot the 5.4L engine is a better choice, even if unloaded mileage is lower, around 15 mpg avg. Floor shift 4wd is simple and easy to use. Auto transmission shifts flawlessly. A/C is good, as is the heater. The 8 foot box is very deep, you can get to your GVWR quickly, with dirt, rock or whatever. At max load there is no sway or unexpected surprises.

Best Yet - 2006 Ford F-150
By GLB - October 27 - 1:19 pmDriving this truck has been a great experience so far. The acceleration of this truck and the handling are beyond the back seat of this truck very compare. The interior has been put together very well. The flow of it keeps the truck from looking like a box. I have 3 children and they fit into comfortably with plenty of arm and leg room. A lot better fuel mileage than my F-350. The layout of the instrumentation is a lot better than in the past. Very easy on the eyes. I truly enjoy driving this truck.

More Bang For Your Buck - 2006 Ford F-150
By Leon - October 24 - 7:06 pmYou cant beat what you get for the dollar. Found this truck for thousands less than Dodge or GM, and got cloth interior which was way better than the Chevy W/T package. Getting 19 MPG with 4.6 v8. Use the truck to haul and have had no problems, have only done general maintenance, oil is easy to change. My only complaint is a light tailgate!

2010 F-150 - 2010 Ford F-150
By cjj - October 22 - 5:23 pmI recently changed jobs and had my previous companies truck taken away, 07 F-150. I drove all four major brands of truck and decided upon the Ford. So far it has been an excellent choice. Ford has done a tremendous improvement on the interior compared to the previous generation. It is a much nicer truck on the inside compared to GM, Toyota and Dodge.

What a truck! - 2006 Ford F-150
By Gregg - October 19 - 2:46 pmOnly owning it for a few days I cannot speak about reliability. In my opinion it is the best looking of all the new trucks. Seats are firm but comfy. Rear seat access is wonderful. It makes me smile every time I walk outside! Fords lease program is outstanding!

excellent - 2006 Ford F-150
By annie - October 19 - 1:34 amThis is the best truck I have ever owned. I used to be a Toyota fan, but the quality of the F150 is unbelievably excellent. The safety is second to none and the ride, comfort and quiet cab is surprising.
