Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

this is one of the best - 2004 Ford F-150
By cypress ford - November 21 - 4:13 amHad my truck for a while now and though it may be slower than the competitors, it is certainly more of a truck. Its comfortable and quiet. My mother has MS and we needed a truck and this is the only one with a good enough ride and that was quite enough for her. It is also the best looking in my opinion. Simply the best I think in almost every way.

First truck, and loving it! - 2005 Ford F-150
By Stephen - November 20 - 11:27 pmI purchased this truck because I love trucks, and more specifically, Ford trucks. However it is my first one. I have not been disappointed for the most part. Reliability has been great, and I get complements everywhere I go. A manual transmission was one of my top priorities, so I opted for the small, V6 engine. As can be expected, it is no rocket, however, with the manual tranny, it feels pretty torquey off the line. I have regularly hauled full bedloads of stuff, with not problem, and on several occasions towed a bass boat. It takes everything in stride with no problems. On long trips, even with a full bed and AC going full blast, I have received as high as 21.5 mpg on the highway!

Fun, Strong, Workhorse - 1997 Ford F-150
By Justin - November 18 - 7:07 pmI love my truck! It is so much fun to drive and comfortable to boot. The engine is plenty powerful for all applications and the truck can haul some mega weight. The only complaint I have is the back window which leaks in around the seals. Apparently it was a design flaw by Ford and can be fixed easily at a glass place (providing you have the money to do so!). As far as the gas mileage, its what you would expect for a truck (*slurp**slurp*).

Awesome Truck - 2004 Ford F-150
By Ford Guy - November 10 - 10:10 pmThis is my first truck and I love it! I compared it to Chevy and Dodge and the features in the FX4 edition blew them away. It has plenty of power and handles great for a truck. Its true about the leaky rear window, but there was a recall from Ford so its a free fix. My brakes do not squeal and gas mileage is not too bad considering the size of the engine. Off road, the suspension and power make it a fun ride. I pulled my friends boat with no problems. Interior rocks with spacious seating and carbon-fiber plating. Reverse sensors have come in handy plenty of times. Best purchase Ive made for a vehicle.

My awesome experience - 2006 Ford F-150
By Robert Dent - November 8 - 10:45 pmThis is the best truck that I have owned in the last 25 years. The interior makes me the envy of my co-workers. The Smokestone/Arizona beige paint combination really stands out. Power and maneuverability in this truck is unbelievable. You would not think that by the way it handles that this is a big, heavy truck.

My best truck yet - 2005 Ford F-150
By SpudsandSleever - November 8 - 8:36 amIve been driving trucks for some decades and this is the best so far. Before this truck I had a GMC Sierra SLT. The Ford is as comfortable but much quieter. The suspension hauls loads easier than the GMC did and tows very easy but at a minor price of needing ballast when empty. The are two negatives so far. 1. Gas mileage with the 5.4 Triton is low but then you cant haul feed with a Prius. 2. The front brakes leave loads of dust on the wheels. Like my other Fords in the past, I need two 40 pound sandbags in the rear when empty so the rear end doesnt hop around on bumpy roads. I am not a rah rah Ford person but this is a very good truck so hats off to Ford.

Like my Truck - 2006 Ford F-150
By Dennis - November 6 - 11:41 pmThis is my 8th new Ford truck in the past 12 years. I have put approximately 650,000 miles on these trucks in the 12 years since my first. I am convinced that no other truck could or would have given me the service I got from these vehicles. Other than some initial adjustments under warranty I have not spent $1 in vehicle repairs (break downs, part failures). Shocks, tires and normal maintenance is all I have ever needed to do!

This is one AWESOME Truck! - 2006 Ford F-150
By AWESOME Truck! - November 3 - 11:05 pmI just bought this truck about a week ago, and LOVE driving it! So far, my only complaint is the fuel economy (14 city, 17 highway...not too bad for a full size truck I guess!). This should get better as the engine breaks in - Im still under 1,000 miles on the odometer. I opted for the King Ranch F150, 2WD, SuperCrew, equipped with a sunroof & the 20" wheels. It feels like a very solid truck on the road, yet fits into the garage. It drives like a dream on the highway. It is very nicely appointed on the inside & out, and the King Ranch Castano leather is second to none! I HIGHLY recommend this truck to anyone who appreciates really nice trucks (my wife loves it too!).

Work truck - 2005 Ford F-150
By Dale - November 3 - 8:08 pmThis is a good overall truck, with the exception of the bed. The tailgate will not handle very much weight at all. 100 12 1x4s bent the heck out my tailgate, cant even shut it now. Ford refused to do anything for me. It is obvious to me these trucks are geared more towards SUV status than work trucks anymore.

Fantastic Truck - 2004 Ford F-150
By Happy Ford Owner - November 3 - 8:41 amA great truck. I get 18 MPG around town which is fantastic for a full size truck. I have 55,000 miles on it & been to dealer only once for a tire wear issue. They aligned and gave me 2 new tires at 12,000 miles. Rides and handles great, seats are comfortable. The 4.6 engine has plenty of power. I am thinking of trading for a 2007 Crew Cab. My 6+ sons have outgrown the back seat.
