Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

A trucks truck - 2006 Ford F-150
By Chris - January 5 - 10:55 amGreat full-sized truck. I especially like the 6.5ft bed and reverse sensing system. Looks great, drives great, but if youre not used to big trucks, it will be scary the first time you park. Interior is little on the bland side, but thats not why I bought it (maybe better in the more expensive models). Interior storage is the only disadvantage, there isnt any! Gas mileage is typical for a V8. The Flex-fuel engine is cool (although E85 is still too pricey/limited for regular use). It would help to have the cylinder-disabling system that other V8s have. Tows like a dream, you forget the trailer is even there. A word of caution, this truck does not fit in a standard garage.

F-150 larriet - 2005 Ford F-150
By Ray m. alvarez - January 4 - 6:32 pmThe truck is great and comfortable on the highway, and the ride is so smooth, its like riding in a luxury car. The only gripe I have is the gas mileage, but I guess its because I have the large v-8 motor. I have 36000 miles on it and the mileage is about 17 highway. Although thats not good gas mileage but a lot better than the Dodge of the same size.

Ford, is it the best in Texas? - 2005 Ford F-150
By kevin cosby - January 2 - 4:43 pmI believe Ford has come a long way in the re-engineering department. I love the quiet ride. I own a 2002 Ford Explorer also, and the new F150 is a much quieter ride. I do believe they all need running bars for short people. This should be standard on all of the Ford pickups. As always there is still room for improvement.

2004 Ford F-150 - 2004 Ford F-150
By jmartinez - January 2 - 9:07 amThe only bad problem I have had is a light lagging at 20 mph in the transmission when changing gears. Ford says it is normal and I have talked to other F-150 owners and they have had the same problem.

What a great truck! - 2006 Ford F-150
By John L. - January 1 - 11:52 amI have really been enjoying this truck. Yeah the fuel economy isnt great, but it IS a truck, ya know? Ride quality is excellent and it has more pick-up than I expected. It handles well - more responsive that I would have thought. The cab is quiet and very comfortable. The days of bouncing down the road in your truck on that uncomfortable bench seat are over. My wife was afraid to drive it at first, but now she says its just like driving a car. I have been both surprised and impressed with this vehicle.

back to a F-150 - 2006 Ford F-150
By Tony - December 31 - 10:35 amI have had many F150s when I was younger but stopped buying them when my need for more pulling power grew (more toys to haul). After a couple of V10 Super Dutys, I decided on the new 3 valve 5.4L. It doesnt have the sheer torque of the V10 but seems to have enough to haul my toys around. It has greater style and comfort than my V10 F350.

Well,so far............................. - 2004 Ford F-150
By jdfrmky - December 28 - 10:00 amI really do not need a truck which is what I found out about an SUV and this fresh looking vehicle seemed the place to start to see if truckdom will work out.If it does not at least it will have some residual value come time to sell.Ive not had it long enough to tell any tales yet.My first Ford and based on the wifes experiences with her 2 Escapes Im more concerned with customer service and support which has been miserable for my wife.

20 Inchers Outta the Box - 2006 Ford F-150
By MACHZ - December 25 - 9:53 amWow, the 20 inch wheels make this truck. It is unbelievable, a blast to drive, fit and finish is perfect, Ill find out about the fuel economy after the thrill of holding the 3 valve on the floor fades a bit.

Love Truck - Hate The Headliner - 2005 Ford F-150
By Anthony B from NYC - December 24 - 8:59 pmWhen I purchased this vehicle, I was in awe. After a while the truck began to develop a few rattles but not many as my cars in the past. The most major problem I have encountered with this vehicle was the floppy headliner. I have had to install my own version of a packing foam in the headliner to eliminate the problem. I have currently experienced a problem in cold weather with the headliner tapping sounding as if the rear window is rattling but I have yet to experience any relief. All in all this vehicle was great on long trips. However the retention value is terrible!.
