Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

  • I Love My Truck! - 2005 Ford F-150

What can I say but ... I LOVE MY TRUCK! Enjoy all the comments by the guys I work with telling me how "good" my truck looks and how big it is. Super nice on long drives, great appearance, has the flow-masters on it and man it has a good throaty growl to it. Just overall, I love my truck!

  • I love my Ford F-150 Eddie Bower - 1995 Ford F-150

The Ford F-150 Eddie Bower is awesome to drive. I had the lighting package added by the dealer. I love my truck and I will never sell it. I brought it brand new in twelve years and have done all maintenance regular service at every 3,800 miles. Replaced 3 serpentine belts, the front brake pads twice, two sets of tires, 3 batteries, 3 sets of wiper blades, 3 sets of spark plugs and wires and one universal joint (Ford mistake). They uprgraded it. One factory recall - cruise control was bad. Fixed last year for free by Ford.

This was a good buy for me. Not too much hp I thought I needed it but I go to and from work, besides I only need to tow my friends around. I like it so far anyway, Ive only had it for a month.

  • The best of the best - 2004 Ford F-150
    By -

I bought this vehicle lightly used and have been extremely happy with it. I had looked over other reviews of all other makes/models and overall the Ford F-150 was the leader in 2004. Pickup is peppy and the ride is smooth. Steering is very tight and responsive. I very much like the layout of the dash instruments. Quality of workmanship appears excellent. Time will tell on the engine and other mechanics.

  • The best yet - 2005 Ford F-150

The most fantastic vehicle I have ever owned. Super quiet. Solid. I hit a chuckhole and wait for something to rattle or vibrate. Nothing! I have never had this experience in a motor vehicle before. I hope to keep it the rest of my life. Quite a contrast to my last Chevrolet. An amazing vehicle. Finally the ultimate has arrived.

  • Awesome pickup - 2006 Ford F-150

My F-150 King Ranch is the most comfortable and easy to drive pickup I have ever owned. It is an excellent tow vehicle. We pull a 25 travel trailer and the towing stability and tracking is great. The only negative comment I have concerns fuel economy - however, I purchased this model for the comfort, features and Ford reliability. Hopefully, Ford will offer a diesel at some point in time. The bottom line is that this is an fantastic vehicle!

  • Super Performance and Comfort! - 2002 Ford F-150
    By -

I have been investigating these trucks for over 3 years and the people that Ive talked with agree these super trucks are unique and not for the average person. Average as in someone looking for a everyday driver/commuter type vehicle. These trucks dont get great gas milage, but thats the only negative thing about this truck. If youre looking for unreal performance, power, and stylish comfort and dont care about gas milage, do it!

  • Beware - 2004 Ford F-150

I traded in a 97 Silverado for this truck. It was a serious mistake. I went from a 5.7L engine to the 5.4L and my mileage was 1/2. The power was much greater in the Silverado, and the ride was outstanding. The F-150 shakes at each stop, even with that big V8, the defrost and a/c seriously effect the engine. The plastic in the interior is cheap, and the seats are uncomfortable. My truck has the tow package, and with pulling a small Boy Scout trailer the trucks performance was greatly effected. My truck only has 63,000 miles on it. Best suggestion, look to another manufacturer for a better truck.

  • Until gas is $5.00/gallon.... - 2004 Ford F-150
    By -

Ive tried to convince myself to look at other vehicles (for fuel economy only), but I cant get away from Ford F Series! This is my third one Ive leased a 2000 XLT, 2002 XLT, and now a 2004 XLT. My lease on the 04 is up in six months, and Ill be stepping up to a SuperCrew (but sticking to an XLT). I love the interior room (Im 65" and have plenty of headroom to spare), along with the big captains chairs. My 02 had a bench seat in the front, but I missed having that huge center console. I dont mind the simple plastic features of the dash if I wanted luxury, I wouldnt be in a truck. The radio is fine plus, the cabin is SO quiet, you dont need a loud sound system.
