Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Rust bucket - 1994 Ford F-150
By njphoto1 - March 26 - 9:57 pmBought it new and love it except that it is falling apart around me. The frame and under carriage is almost gone. I wish they used better steel.

A revision to my review - 2005 Ford F-150
By Rick - March 25 - 11:19 pmIm now a year and a 1/2 into driving this truck, 25K miles, and most of my original review still stands. Its been an incredible truck. However, I had to share that I recently returned on my first two road trips with the family (1K and 1.2K) in distance and was amazed that after simply changing the air filter before I left on the first trip that I got 18.5 mph on the first trip and 19.5 mph on the second. Its paid off that I opted for the 3.55 factory gears and installed a low profile, glass bed cover. Smooth sailing!

Very satisfied customer - 2004 Ford F-150
By Mackie Smith - March 24 - 10:00 amThis is the second F150 I have had, The first has 235,000 miles on the clock and is still not using oil and running well. My son is still very happy with it. The current model is 9 months old with 73,000 miles on it and it has been a terrific truck. I would recommend it to anyone whos job requires high mileage like mine. It is comfortable and quiet,Quieter than my car.

awesome truck - 2005 Ford F-150
By grd2083 - March 24 - 3:13 amI purchased this truck for my wife and baby on the way. Safety features are incredible and ride comfort is outstanding. I am very particular about my trucks and have combed over this one front to back and I have to say that the overall quality is unsurpassed. This is the best investment I have ever made. If you are hesitating because you want to drive other makes, DONT waste your time. This truck is not the fastest 0-60 but can out pull, or haul any other. Not to mention very stylish, roomy, and quiet.

back to Fords - 2004 Ford F-150
By samson - March 22 - 6:49 pmRecently purchased at 1 month, completely satisfied with purchase over Chevy Suburban. Reliable and decent fuel mileage for a truck. I use all my vehicles for intended usage. I may own a truck, however I use it to transport goods from one place to another.

Ford needs new management - 2006 Ford F-150
By ac389 - March 22 - 2:53 amPoor economy, real bad brakes, very poor ride characteristics, engine is underpowered compared to other trucks, manual transmission shifts poorly, seats are starting to tear at 2500 miles. This truck is very obsolete compared to the competition. This truck weighs 4760 lbs, has 202 hp, gets 13 to 16 mph. Dont waste your money on this truck. For a business buying this vehicle, would be subject to insurance issues from workmans comp due to loading height. Ford is lost when building quality, efficient autos.

great truck - 2005 Ford F-150
By great truck - March 21 - 12:18 amBought the truck a year ago, STX model with no back seat or carpet. Surprisingly, plenty of room with 40/20/40 split. Drove the truck 65000 miles in one year, not a single problem, just maintenance and brakes. Although I do get annoyed with front brake dust on wheels. 4WD works great in snow, nice turning and ride for 4.6 V8. towed 2 cords wood, struggled very little. Nice roomy bed, well designed interior. Seats do stain very easily, I recommend covering them as soon as you buy the truck.

Glad I went American for a change - 2007 Ford F-150
By Chris - March 20 - 11:05 pmI bought this truck needing a tough son of a gun to haul thousands of pounds of product on long distance trips for my business and this truck fits the bill. My F-150 always gets great comments from people who love its looks. I just love it because it get the job done. I even slept in it one night because I couldnt find a hotel and it was a good night sleep at the secured rest stop. I wouldnt change much, but hopefully Ford will continue to improve on this nice looking, tough truck.
