Arriving in 2003 for the XLT supercab styleside configuration is the Heritage Edition, which includes 17-inch wheels, a chrome cab step and various stylistic flairs such as a black bedliner, a lower valance, paint striping and a paint scheme with a raised cut-line. Also new is an STX edition for the XL- and XLT-trimmed regular and supercabs that includes an MP3 player combined with a monochromatic color scheme and clear lights, among others. Upgrades for the fancy King Ranch flavor consist of fake wood for the interior, lighted step bars and an in-dash six-disc CD changer. For the Lariat, expect a standard rear window defroster and a Pioneer CD and cassette system (the latter is also newly available on the XL and XLT). Harley-Davidson models have the option of getting a two-tone black-and-silver paint. Finally, a new LATCH system helps you tie down the kiddie seats properly.

  5.4 V8 really cranks up. After 45yrs of driving Ford cars, vans, P.U.s, this Super Crew is the top performer and a great handling package. As an ex racer, I drive the wheels off this truck. But the General Grabber AW tires are AWful and squeal from bad traction, almost dangerous in rain. With good tires (BFG T/A Radial type) I will out drive most. Interior is great and with a bed cover, I carry anything and everything.

  I take very good care of her because she was a bit expensive for a truck. I raced many cars an won. Most say they didnt know there was such a fast truck out there.

  I love this truck! It is great for pulling our boat. (I got the 5.4L V8) Plenty of power, very reliable. Surprisingly capable off road. Not very good fuel economy, but fun to drive nonetheless. Exceptional vehicle, great styling!

  Finally a 4-door truck - 2003 Ford F-150

  Ive been on the fence since this truck came out. I was looking forward to a 4-door truck, as the SUVs just couldnt do the dirty jobs that trucks can. I didnt want to spend the money, but with the new model coming out in 2004 I figured this was finally the time. I went all out and got the 5.4 with the complete towing package in lieu of the Lariat (S FL is too hot for leather anyway!). This truck is totally awesome, and everyone is impressed at how much room there is. You sacrifice a bit with only a 5 1/2 foot bed, but whats 6 inches!! If I wanted less people room and more bed (and a less powerful engine) Id have bought the Dodge!

  Has a roomy comfortable cabin. The controls are simple. The 6-CD Changer is really nice. The FX4 package has exactly the accessories I would have added on. Performance is a dream! Recently went over the continental divide between 10,000 and 11,000 feet. What power! Hardly felt it downshift on the 7% grade. I averaged 17.6mpg on that trip with the 5.4liter v8. The transmission is smooth and the engine is responsive. The supercab has enough room for my family of four while having, in my opinion, the best styling in its class. Its the little things like the power split rear window, that make this the best truck on the market.

  I just purchased this truck and I am very happy. The truck has plenty of room and provides a smooth and comfortable ride. I wish that I could get better gas mileage but then again it is a truck!

  Really love the truck. The 5.4 litre V8 is definately worth the extra money. Wish the sound system was better(i.e. had higher quality speakers/more of them).

  I had a 2000 Ford Expedition XLT 2wd and traded it in for this new truck. The best choice that I made as far as a vehicle purchase, I know understand why Ford has the best selling truck.
