Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

  • I just dont know - 2006 Ford F-150

My 06 Lariat Supercrew seems to be morphing into an XLT. All the gold and tan interior and exterior trim colors are already beginning to wear off their surfaces. Power from the 5.4L is shamefully bad above 2000 rpm. Mileage is 12 city and Ive never seen anything past 17 highway, but its about what I expected. Overall build quality is fairly good, but I think my old 97 F-150 was a more solid truck. Time will tell with this 2006 model. These seats are not leather. Theyre some kind of really cheap imitation of leather. They definitely feel very cheap. If given the chance, I dont think I would buy this truck again. I did mention the awful engine performance, didnt I?

This truck is awesome! I love it. I had a 1997 F150 XLT when I purchased this truck, and as much as I liked the 97, this truck is 10 times better. I fail to see what all the complaints on the power are about. From 0-70 mph I can torch our Crown Vic Interceptors, and almost hang with the V6 Chargers we upgraded to. This is like driving a living room on wheels, its so comfortable, and it is the vehicle I take on all of my long distance trips, poor gas mileage aside. I would recommend this truck to anyone needing a full size, yet comfortable truck.

  • Excellent work truck - 2006 Ford F-150

Bought this vehicle to replace my old work truck, a 2000 f-150 XLT SuperCab with 400,000 km. So Far, this vehicle has considerably more power, tighter ride, though the visibility is somewhat less. the deeper box is handy, but do miss the 8ft box. Handles back roads and work trails better than most of the competition. Overall, a comfortable, tough work truck.

  • The best all around truck - 2005 Ford F-150

This is the best all around truck I have ever driven or owned. The suspension of the truck is great. Fully loaded with tools you cannot even feel it.The ride is still smooth. Put it this way, I love my truck!

  • Last Ford Ill ever own. - 2004 Ford F-150

I loved the truck for the first year, then it all changed. The paint is peeling, the spark plugs got stuck in the heads, the fuel pump went bad, the rear slips and whines, it passes everything but a gas station, and Ford will not stand by their products. I would like to trade in the truck for a Tundra, but the trade in value is too low.

  • F150 Heritage 5.4 - 2003 Ford F-150

Previous F 150 owners. Have only had the Heritage Package Truck for 1 month. Everything great - 5.4 Triton engine exceptional.

  • Ford cant find fixes for their problems - 2007 Ford F-150

Great looking truck and fun to drive. I have had a horrible experience with Ford about the F 150s air conditioning system, cd changer, and rear window. The air conditioning system hisses and gurgles while driving. I am in the ultra high line automobile business and I know tricks of the trade. Ford refuses to admit that their is a problem, rather they state that the sound is normal.

  • Great truck, will buy an F-150 again - 2001 Ford F-150

This truck has been great to own. Low cost of repairs and still at 122,000 miles runs and looks great. I live in the northeast and the truck has seen a lot of winter driving and has very little rust. 4x4 works great and have not had a single major promlem. After 5 years and 60,000 miles I paid out only $368 in repair cost.

This is a real mans truck. It will take whatever you throw at it and more. The towing and payload is remarkable. Combine that with a powerful triton V-8 and you have a truck that wont hold back. The build is solid and the fuel economy is not so bad.

  • I Love My F-150 - 2006 Ford F-150

Great truck. Comfort and ride is amazing for its size. Get a tonneau cover if you have any hopes of getting better than 18 MPG. One of the major drawbacks is there is no internal storage space for things like fire extinguishers, jumper cables tools, etc. I know you can buy a rear under- seat storage bin to help with that. I hope the newer trucks come with more internal storage.
