Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Quality is still job1! - 2007 Ford F-150
By Love this truck!! - July 17 - 11:09 pmAcceleration was more than I expected from the 4.2 V6. With 202 horsepower and 3.55s it is plenty peppy. With 4800 miles on it mileage is around 17 city and 21 highway. Mileage should increase slightly at around the 15,000 mile mark when the engine is fully broken in. With the base sound system it produces a very nice note! I am very impressed with the truck! Comfortable, supportive seats, good ride quality, no wind noise at highway speeds, and the feel that your are in a well built quality vehicle tells me that I made a good purchase!

A little disappointed! - 2003 Ford F-150
By Elizabeth Devlin - July 16 - 10:00 amJust bought the 2003 Supercrew 4.6 liter, and the gas economy is horrendous. The tires are horrible as they made my truck shake until I hit speeds of 60+. Have to reach up and far to even change the radio. Not made for shorter, smaller people. Shouldnt have test driven a Lariat...

Ford Tuff - 1996 Ford F-150
By Snookfever - July 10 - 10:52 pmBought it with 40K in 1998. It now has 140k and still runs as good as the day I got it. Pull a 3500 lb lb boat with it on a weekly basis. Had to replace the front arm bushings, but other than that just changed the oil, tranny fuild and tires. Tried the KN filter and intake turbos, slick 50 and evey known fuel additive, but it still gets only 13 mpg city 15 highway and 10 mpg pulling the boat. The good thing is it has never let me down for 100,000 miles. My mechanic hates me, and sais the thing will do 200K plus. Hate to get ri of it, but want a bigger boat so got get a bigger truck

Copper Ranch - 2006 Ford F-150
By MDI - July 10 - 10:47 amGreat vehicle. Only hiccup was the transmission console shifter had an interior switch that went out. This caused the transmission to go haywire and could not get it into proper gear. This required a tow and was in warranty. Same problem happened on my 2004 FX4, but that one was out of warranty. Sounds like a defective switch. Best ride of any pick-up that Ive riden in. Gas mileage is not great however. The Ethonal blends that I use seem to get much worse gas mileage ... more than offsetting their slightly lower cost per gallon. So E- 85 may not be an option.

Ford F150 Super Crew Lariat 4WD - 2004 Ford F-150
By J. Thurston - July 10 - 10:00 amThis pickup is the best of all the Ford pickups Ive owned. It has a comfortable, quite ride, excellent road vision day and night. The sound system is excellent. The majority of the controls and buttons are easy to see and use. I do wonder though why the grill was engineered to be attached to the hood? The assisted lift tailgate is a pleasure to use and the deep bed is nice also. I did have a tonneau cover by Lear installed which blocks off some of the rear view, a potentially dangerous situation, but that is not a fault of Ford.

2003 Ford F150 flareside, my new toy! - 2003 Ford F-150
By Bill Kalabch - July 10 - 10:00 amThis is my second F150, and this is also my second great experience with Ford trucks. Why buy a compact truck when for the same money you get a heavy duty truck with twice the cab room and payload. It rides like sedan, and gets you to 75 mph (only the 6) with no problems. Of course, I wish the milage was the same as my Rav 4, but you cant have everything, at least not in the 03 model.

Smooth ride - 2007 Ford F-150
By mrjmann1 - July 10 - 7:31 amVery happy with this truck, only problem Ive had so far was a screw lodged in my tire tread. Luckily the new tire pressure gauge system helped to detect it and got it fixed right away. Rides like a car, feels fairly safe, and the price was definitely right.

30 days in!!!! - 2017 Ford F-150
By Mike Richardson - July 10 - 5:11 amI have only owned this truck for a month this weekend. I was pleased with my experience at Palmetto Ford and would likely go back there should I want another truck. It is very difficult to rate a vehicle after only 30 days. I absolutely love the ford Sync 3 system and for the most part find the vehicle to be more than satisfactory.
