Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

The F-150 I was waiting for.. - 2005 Ford F-150
By Buzza - July 31 - 5:46 amI waited thru the 2004 class of F-150s knowing Ford had this one in its sights. Couldnt be more enthusiastic about my new ride. Its big!! But handles like an SUV of smaller stance. Ford Quiet Steel, is quiet. Ride/wind/engine noise is minimal. The much talked about outward rear suspension does keep the tailgate behind you on the largest of road bumps. Comfort is unprecedented for a pickup. I will admit I am a bit disappointed by the low end acceleration but when this 5500lb truck gets moving; it moves. It was built to work, and towing with it is NO PROBLEM. Thats when you truly trust and appreciate the motor. Im looking forward to my 100,000+ miles in this Ford

nice family truck - 2004 Ford F-150
By daarka - July 23 - 3:10 pmI replaced my 1977 F150 with this new F150. Other than the name, there is no comparison. This is a luxury SUT in all ways. I cant think of another option I would add. On the road it gets 18 mpg (in Colorado mountains - that is saying a lot). In town I get 12-14 mpg. I have used it to haul supplies to work site, but it is mostly a commuter and grocery getter. It is comfortable and easy to drive. I like the high driving position to see ahead and all around me. It is a bit long to parallel park. I will keep this truck for a while (maybe as long as my 1977 - 28 years!).

F 150 XLT - 2005 Ford F-150
By o maser - July 23 - 5:20 amBouncy rear end, and clatter on front drivers side; dealer cant find clatter and claims soft and bouncy rear end is normal and can do nothing about it. I had a more stable ride and control on my 1997 Ford F 150 XLT. Can I trade back?

Great multi-purpose family vehicle - 2007 Ford F-150
By Farrider - July 22 - 7:04 pmOne beautifully styled truck both inside and out. I enjoy the comfort and amenities this truck has to offer. Best truck I have driven/owned, including, Toyota and Nissan. Drives and rides like a luxury car. Has met or exceeded my expectations.

2007 Ford F-150 FX2 - 2007 Ford F-150
By switzer87 - July 22 - 6:39 pmI just recently purchased the F150 FX2 with crew cab and the 6.5 ft truck bed, its a beast! It drives like a luxury car but will pull 9500 lbs. Interior very comfortable, sirius radio is great, has premium sound system which sounds better than the Chevy Bose. Getting 16 mpg so far. Parking can be difficult with the size but you get used to it. I was comparing a Chevy ext cab to this and in the long run I have a bigger truck, Chevy doesnt offer a 6.5 ft bed with their crew cab. No complaints so far, mileage will improve once broken in and once I add a tonneau cover. Do yourself a favor and get the bigger truck, its there if you need it!

Wise choice - 2004 Ford F-150
By murph302 - July 22 - 1:41 amI bought my Ford new in 2004 and it is great. Even after 3 years its interior and exterior design has aged well. The powertrain is definitely underpowered when compared to the new trucks but it still holds its own. I have had no problems passing granny on the highway even while towing. The only real issue I have had with my Ford is the wiper cowl. I must have replaced it 3 times because the plastic clips keep breaking causing it to rattle on the highway (under warranty).

24 years #1 and still with shortfalls?? - 2005 Ford F-150
By Ken - July 20 - 11:26 pmWe have the 2005 Crew Cab Lariat. The interior makes a loud rattling sound which is from the ceiling. With a sunroof, there is no way to attach the ceiling to the roof resulting in a loose flapping sound when you hit a bump. What is amazing is that this was a problem with 04s and yet Ford did nothing about it. So I get my 05 and it has this sound. Instead of pre- fixing it before the buyer takes it, Ford makes you bring it back. Totally ridiculous---Quality is no longer job 1 with Ford. Just check this out before buying the vehicle. Next time...Ill be visiting the Toyota dealership sorry!!!

Good truck - 2007 Ford F-150
By ARFER - July 20 - 1:37 amThe 07 Ford F150 is a very well built truck. This is my 3rd Ford truck. My first one came out of the oil fields and it took a lot of abuse. It had 167000 on it when I was done with it and was still running strong. I can tell you the 07 is built a lot better than that truck. So I have high expectations for it. This truck is not going to win any quarter miles, but it will pull, which is what you want in a truck. It is a heavy brute with the comfort of a luxury vehicle. I read the reviews on the 07 before I bought it. Some complained about acceleration. I did not think it was bad at all from taking off. It could use a little more at higher speeds, but trust me, the rest of the truck will out weigh this. If you want to race, buy the Mustang. Low end torque trumps.
