Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Very happy - 2004 Ford F-150
By Bob - August 26 - 8:26 pmI am very happy with my 2004 F-150. We use to to pull our 30 camper and never have had an issue with it. People even stop me and say, "you pull that camper with that truck"? The drawback is the 8 mpg when pulling. I have towed from Michigan to Mammoth Caves, to Maine and to Virginia and never had a problem. The interior is very nice for a truck and the black trim holds up very well.

I love this truck! - 2002 Ford F-150
By badge1025 - August 25 - 7:40 pmI finally got it. Ive always wanted one and found my 02 at the Ford dealership. It only had 43k and in perfect condition. The performance is unreal. Gas mileage is ok for whats under the hood. I drove this truck from Florida to Ohio and averaged only 16 mpg. It was very comfortable and quiet. I towed a car back with it and lost 2 mpg averaging 13-14. I cant say enough about this truck. I really enjoy driving and owning it. Mine is red and completly stock. The best part is the blower whine. The truck handles like a sports car. Buy this truck. It is unreal. I always get comments and questions about it at the gas pump.

Old Blue - 1997 Ford F-150
By Indy2007 - August 20 - 5:02 pmMy father purchased this truck off a used car lot. It was a one owner and the owner was a old man who wanted a new vehicle. He bought the truck with a little under 1000,000 miles on it. He had to put a new exhaust on it as well as fix a cracked injector and normal wear and tear parts. This was a family truck with a 5.4 triton motor that worked great for pulling our 26 foot camper(6000 pounds roughly). Due to his job he had to buy a 4x4 and gave his son(me) the truck. I drive it to and from college(about 2hrs). and it is wonderful. I have gotten up to 18 mpg(driving senible) but if you drive it hard it can go under 14 mpgs. Its has 150,000 miles and still looks and runs as good as a new one.

Ford spark plug problems - 2004 Ford F-150
By Jim - August 16 - 3:20 pmReally have liked the truck bought new and its many features. Truck is a supercab and its very comfortable. However its latest feature - spark plugs that blow completely out of the engine- have really changed my mind about Fords build quality or lack thereof. Not only is it absurd that a spark plug can blow out of the engine but equally absurd how much it costs to repair. Ford recommends replacing the defective aluminum head with a new defective aluminum head rather than owning up the problem and recalling the many vehicles with their modular engine. Just search blown out spark plug and witness the amount of complaints with both trucks and cars with this engine.

FX4... BEST 4X4... - 2006 Ford F-150
By Great - August 16 - 2:43 amI was in the market for a new truck for some time. I test drove GMC 1500-AND 2500. I was not impressed. Then I looked into the FX4 crew fully loaded and I have to say it is a blast to drive. With the 20 inch rims the truck sits up high and the interior is great. Solid workmanship and the ride is solid.

One of Fords Better Years for Trucks - 1995 Ford F-150
By woodleader - August 15 - 7:27 pmThis has been an excellent vehicle. The only major repair I have made on this truck was a rebuilt transmission at 160,000 miles. Other than that I have replaced an alternator, a radial arm bushing, idler pulley and a few batteries. I drive this truck to work, M-F, around Atlanta. With 287,000 miles on it now, I could see this truck easily making 400,000 miles in a few years. AT 80 mph, the 5.8l still gets 15mpg. I like this truck so much I am starting the process of restoring it.

Never thought Id come back! - 2007 Ford F-150
By fbmom - August 15 - 6:47 pmHaving owned nothing but Nissan, Toyota, and Honda for the past 30 years, I never thought I would own an American built truck, but here I am in this new Lariat and Ive got to say, Ive been pretty impressed. Drove it from Wyoming to Arizona and it cruised beautifully, was quiet, and my bum and back never got tired of riding! Got 19 MPG, which I thought was phenomenal, considering the weight of this truck. So now Im selling my Honda Ridgeline (which, dont get me wrong, is an awesome vehicle), but I live on a serious 4x4 road and I just feel a lot safer now in the Ford than in the Honda. I am duly impressed and lovin it!

first problem - 2002 Ford F-150
By skeptic - August 14 - 10:00 amI compared all of the full size trucks on the market before I purchased my F150. I love this truck, but its now in the shop because it developed some sort of electrical issue and left me stranded on the side of the road today. Other than that, this truck rides great, gets pretty decent mileage for a full size truck (18mpg in mixed driving), is squeak and rattle free, and was running perfectly prior to today. Assuming the electrical problem is a fluke, I would recommend this truck to anyone looking for a versatile, comfortable, full size truck.
