Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

  • Good 2wd pickup - 2005 Ford F-150

I purchased this truck new and have been very impressed. Its no speed machine nor a powerhouse but does very well for being a 1/2 ton truck. This truck with the 5 speed is very peppy for having a 4.2 liter engine. It has also performed just fine while towing other cars and pulling loaded trailers. On average I get about 22 MPG on the interstate and could not be any happier with it.

  • 2018 Raptor, an absolute beast on and off road. - 2018 Ford F-150

I have owned a four pickups and a couple of Jeeps in my life, nothing comes close to the capabilities off road of this Raptor. Sure footed in the deep sugar sands or tearing down old logging roads at 50MPH, this truck has great off road capabilities and manners. When you get back on the highway, you are in a for a quiet and comfortable ride, Ford Performance did an amazing job with the ride quality and not compromising the on or off road feel. As for power, the TT3.5 has plenty of power to move this truck with no problem. The 10 speed took some getting used to but it has been a very smooth transmission in its shifting. I no longer slow down coming to train crossings....I just send it.

I hate the electronic throttle. It takes sooo long to respond; other than that I LOVE MY TRUCK!!!

The ride and handling are like driving are great. This 4X4 rides more like a luxury auto than a truck. I have only owned it for a short period but will really get to test it this fall when I go hunting.

  • Replaced my diesel - 2008 Ford F-150
    By -

Bought this truck to replace my 2008 6.4L diesel, which was nice, but did not fit my current needs as a daily driver. Current truck is KR F-150, fully-optioned. I have been impressed. Runs well, a little short on power, but really smooth and still torquey 5.4L engine. Frame and overall build integrity is very strong. Have tested and/or driven most of the competition and still,to me,Ford has the top overall offering for reliability and "truck performance." Still looks good has stayed fresh in styling. Some minor assembly issues which are being remedied at dealer nothing major here. Not a diesel when towing but a great daily driver. Mileage acceptable at 16.5 combined--better than expected.

    Best pickup ever built

  • excellent, but needs an updated interior - 2002 Ford F-150
    By -

Fords Lightning performs better than any truck should and doesnt make you feel guilty about it. Its a blast to drive and equally fun to just admire its beautiful shape. Its hole in the armour lies in its outdated interior, which hasnt been updated in several years. Ford needs to consider making the dash more friendly while maintaining the intuitive functionality. Basically, the interior works, but isnt fun or very attractive at all (perhaps the gauges are attractive...), which just doesnt jive with the rest of the truck.

  • Great ruck - 1995 Ford F-150
    By -

My f150 now has 213,500 miles on it and still runs strong. I think Fords biggest mistake was getting rid of the 4.9l 300 i6. Doesnt do good on fuel, but the engine had plenty of pickup and plenty of pulling power. I put a flowmaster 40 on it and it sounds great.
