Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Overall great truck, some not-so-great points.. - 2015 Ford F-150
By Donovan Moser - July 16 - 5:30 pmJust to be clear - I think it is a great truck - XLT supercrew with 5.0 2wd, 6.5 bed. Maybe i would not notice some things but I am coming out of a 2013 that is pretty much exactly the same truck configuration. Ride is rougher, air conditioning seems a little less efficient - The vent arrangement seems a little less controllable as to direction and circulation. Fuel economy - contrary to reports, seems to be averaging right on 15 MPG calculated and on the trip computer, where as the previous truck was averaging 16.7 in the same driving conditions. Side mirrors seem to be a little smaller horizontally.

I couldnt be happier. - 2014 Ford F-150
By Todd Christopher - July 14 - 9:03 amI am a repeat Ford F150 customer. My previous F150 I had for 11+ years. That truck was the replacement for an F150 that I drove for 9+ years. My trucks haul firewood, lumber, gravel, building materials, etc. My new purchase is the 14 STX Supercrew 5.0L with the Sport Package, and Tow Package. I have about 500 miles on the truck and my avg mpg is 19.5. My home is on the top of a mountain and I travel over a lot of country roads during my day. My biggest surprises are the amount of room in the crew cab and the mileage. The 5L V8 has plenty of get up and go. I chose the 5L V8 because of my concerns about the longevity of the turbo charged V6. Because I keep my trucks long past any extended warrenty I could buy, I decided that the proven 5L V8 was my best option. The interior appears to be well done. The bucket seats are comfortable as is the rear bench seat. The truck handles like a truck should. If you are looking for a car like ride then look somewhere else. That being said the handling on this truck is miles head of my previous F150. I actually had planned to purchase a different make but ended up back at the Ford dealership. So far, I couldnt be happier.

Reliable and tough. - 1995 Ford F-150
By mtnroad - July 1 - 6:48 pm1995 F150 Reg Cab, 4.9L 6cyl 8-foot-bed. Edmunds doesnt list auto trans. Im 2nd owner, bought in 2012 w/ 117k now it has 170k. Ive had it 3 yrs. No issues, power steering pump, and ac recharge. I added trans cooler. This truck is tough. It takes whatever I throw at it. I have towed some really heavy stuff. Trailers full of rock 5,000+ pounds, etc. A pallet of tile placed in the bed and the whole rear end was almost on the ground and the truck took it. I usually dont abuse cars but the truck is so tough I find myself pushing the limits all the time. I have towed cars hundreds of miles, etc. It was a sheriff truck before I got it - not maintained well. Best truck Ive ever owned.

Dont buy the hype - 2015 Ford F-150
By clearwatereq - July 1 - 1:52 amNice truck, no doubt there, interior among the best out there. Mine has been back to the dealer for several annoying faults, and a major issue with stalling out. Also not fond of the overly harsh ride and interior rattles. Ecobust performs OK, but theres no eco to be found. Im getting a steady 14mpg mixed highway/city.

Over 202k miles! - 2005 Ford F-150
By kgaston - June 23 - 9:54 pmI have logged over 202 thousand miles on this truck since it was bought used in January of 2007. Major repairs: none. Minor repairs: replaced EGR valve at ~175k miles, other than that, it has been just regukar, routine maintenance. My only complaint is the quality of the cloth seats in this vehicle, they easily trap dirt and dust, causing them to stain if so much as a bottle with condensation on the outside is placed in the seat.

worst truck I have ever owned. - 2007 Ford F-150
By voeter01 - June 18 - 8:58 pmWhen I bought this truck it was three years old and had 52000 miles on it. Sense I bought this truck I have had to have the intake manifold replaced it cracked and leaked water all over the engine, shorting out the spark plugs. The alternator burned out. The starter motor went bad.The rubber seal around the windshield has started falling apart and leaking. The interior is falling apart. The instrument panel cluster has gone bad, which I have not had fixed because of the cost. When I bought this truck I considered Ford as the best truck built. Now I would never buy another one! The truck now has 108000 miles on it. Ford has refused to acknowledge they have had any problems.

Own up to your problems Ford or we wont own You! - 2011 Ford F-150
By dannieb - June 14 - 3:59 pmDo Not buy a Ford Ecoboost. My husband & I bought a 2011 Ford F150 Ecoboost we loved it so fun to drive, but 70k miles in we started having engine issues. Took it in to the dealer for them to tell me the timing chain was shot and it was a $4k fix with no guarantee that it would fix the problem. A quick google search of this vehicle and I was shocked to see we were not the only one with this same exact issue. There are YouTube videos and forums galore about this engine issue and No recalls from Ford. We got rid of it yesterday before it left us broke and on the side of the road. I wont be returning to a Ford anytime soon after that bad taste in my mouth.

Mushy suspension, mpg lacking - 2014 Ford F-150
By tracker557 - June 5 - 8:48 pmI have a light foot on the pedal but average only 14.5 mpg with 90% highway driving which is very disappointing considering the 3.5 turbos claimed mpg of 21. Towing 7000 pounds at 65 mph however gives me 12 mpg: makes no sense. Ride should be stiffer. Seats very comfy. Should have more cabin storage. Incredible leg room in supercrew. Wish I bought an F-250.

Solid Truck - 2000 Ford F-150
By dhiebert - May 20 - 2:29 pmI bought my truck on auction for $4k. Best money Ive ever spent. No problems except for a stripped drain plug. Plenty of power, passenger space and cargo space. The only complaints are in the size and fuel economy. Its hard to park in any place other than straight in, and the best MPG Ive gotten is 17 hwy.

Fun to drive but very bumpy ride - 2015 Ford F-150
By manny52 - May 17 - 5:27 pmFun to drive. From the onboard computer, I get 13 L/100Km (18 mpg) on the highway, 15 L/100Km (15.6 mpg) in the city.
