This Year's Model Updates:

The interior gets a minor refresh that includes a revised instrument cluster. XLT models now come with additional standard features, while the high-line XLT Premium gets a new monochrome exterior look. The Adrenalin model now features an even more powerful premium audio system. All models get a flexible fuel feature that allows them to run on ethanol-blended fuel, as well as traditional gasoline. Finally, there is no longer a manual transmission option on XLS models.

Pros:
  • SUV comfort and pickup truck bed convenience, workhorse V6, features galore, available side curtain airbags.

We absolutely love the new truck and we get compliments all of the time. Enough room to haul and still versatile. The stereo in the Adrenalin is awesome!

I love my truck and I am real pleased with the over all quality. The fuel mileage, design, comfort, performance, and reliability. I have only had my Ford Explorer Sport Trac 4 months and so for its thumbs up.

I bought this because I was, frankly, scared of the size of a F150 extended cab! I like that I have a truck that isnt too big, and isnt too small. It is a good and comfortable vehicle for driving long distances in. I know the bed is small and the towing capacity is less than its big brothers, but still 5300 pounds is still pretty good. For me I am beyond pleased!

  • Nice truck. - 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Bought the truck in July 04, have 10K miles in 6 months and LOVE it. Needs a little better suspension though. Just a bit shaky for such a well thought out vehicle. Perfect combination of city commuter and country hauler. Much better seating for 4 adults than a cramped car, not huge like an SUV, yet still very sporty. Only 1 problem in 6 months but it was a quick fix for the dealer. Bed extender is a "must have"

This is my 2nd Sportie, and for a good reason. Two weeks ago, I was involved in a crash that totaled my 2001 Sportie .... the safety features worked extremely well. I had my sportie for 3 1/2 years, and the only complaint is that it could use a few more horses. The convenience of the large cab (to haul a rottweiller or several friends) as well as the bed (to haul a cubic yard of topsoil or mulch with no problem), made this truck invaluable. When I first looked at it back in 2000, I wasnt too sure about the exterior styling, but its uniqueness grew on me ... now, most other trucks/SUVs just look, well, average.

This car is very luxurious and spacious. It could fir five heavy adults. Handling is great. The styling and the bed size are perfect. Its perfect to haul furniture, etc. The best part is that its very high and you can see everything on the road. I love it!!!

  • ST #2 - 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Our 2004 Sport Trac is the second we have owned and we love it as much as the first (2001). Big enough for 5 people yet small enough to get into tight places, this truck/suv combo has it all. Available with the luxury of (heated) leather seats, Pioneer sound system, in dash 6 cd changer and sun roof (all of which ours has) and so much more! I originally traded my first ST in for an Expedition. That only lasted about 9 months. Had to have another Sport Trac! Cute, sassy, economical and just plain fun!

  • A Good One - 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

I have owned Ford Trucks , Gmc Trucks, and Toyota Trucks and have found out that Ford builds the best. The Sport Trac (almost a truck) has the best ride and is a fun truck to drive. The leg room is great and there is plenty of room in the back seat for passenger comfort. Although the truck bed is not full size with a bed extender I can haul what I need and still have the comfort of an SUV.
