The interior gets a minor refresh that includes a revised instrument cluster. XLT models now come with additional standard features, while the high-line XLT Premium gets a new monochrome exterior look. The Adrenalin model now features an even more powerful premium audio system. All models get a flexible fuel feature that allows them to run on ethanol-blended fuel, as well as traditional gasoline. Good Mileage, Great Truck - 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
By TN Truck - March 1 - 10:00 amThis truck does it all! Looks great, interior is fine for carting around 5 adults, and the plastic bed means you need not worry about scratching up your paint. Mileage in the 18-20 mpg rane (mixed driving) is achievable if you keep your foot out of it -- tops in its class. Recently got 23 mpg on a trip to Alabama (interstate, 70 mph). 4.0 V6 is powerful enough to pull this 2+ ton truck, and get you in and out of traffic smartly. Base CD player is adequate... but Pioneer system for $200 more would have been better. A comfortable compromise between commuter vehicle, SUV, yet can function as a truck when you need it, which fits in a garage.

Great family truck - 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
By jholzer - February 10 - 10:00 amThis truck is great for a family. The cab is roomy and stylish. Having the regular explorer body with the pick up truck back is such a convenience. I love to drive my truck and would buy another in a second. Reliable, stylish and comfy.

Fits in the run or in the city - 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
By Nelson - February 7 - 2:43 amI love this truck! The handling blows away my Expedition, plenty of power from the 4.0L and and excellent ride. Just scrap the darn Goodyears! I replaced them with Bridgestone Duelers and the wet and snow traction is now amazing. The Pioneer stereo set-up just cranks and my white truck with the chrome of the Adrenalin Package gets positive comments from my customers daily. This truck is great for guys like me who need someplace to throw wet and muddy soccer gear without the overkill of a full size truck. And with a wife and two kids we fit perfectly for long trips. I cant wait to buy my new one next year!

A great mid-sized truck! - 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
By mrobin - January 17 - 10:00 amA good truck for those not needing lots of bed space. The interior offers lots of room and a comfortable ride. Heat and A/C controls in back seat a plus, as is the roll down rear window. I have been very pleased, and as a mechanic, I have not seen many problems with them.

Love my Sport Trac - 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
By susie lynn - October 29 - 2:00 amLove my sport trac. It is easy and fun to drive. Its versatile, easy to keep clean and as a sales associate at a Ford dealership I think it is one of the best SUVs we have.

2004 Ford Sport Trac - 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
By DJ8 - July 31 - 10:00 amFuel milage is acceptable. But not as good as I had hoped for. Satisfied with appearance. Im still trying to get use to the smaller interior. I traded a full size P/U due to gas mileage concerns. Also getting use to the tight steering of the smaller vehicle versus a full size P/U. All and all Id have to say Im satisfied with everything except gas milage

XLT Premium in VA - 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
By cade - June 29 - 2:00 amI like the ride, but I wish the gas mileage was better. The Upgraded Radio and CD deck is great. I really like the options (al Ford would put on it). I think Ford should put a Climaye Control that is Automatic, like in the Sables and Tarus.
