By Jake Kirk - December 12 - 10:00 amThis Explorer Sport is perfect. I drove a Geo Metro for 6 1/2 years before upgrading to a SUV. The price was right and fits my lifestyle to a tee. It has enough space for moving anything. Its just me and my wife, so the back seat isnt a concern. Our friends tell us its comfortable back there. The dealership had exactly what my wife and I wanted, including a bush guard already installed. Whomever leased this truck before us, a big thank you to you for keeping it is such great shape.

Love my Explorer Sport - 2001 Ford Explorer Sport

A couple of minor fixes after the purchase - all covered by warranty, but otherwise a great vehicle. Ive driven it from CT to NC and back twice now, and both times, the ride was comfortable. Perfect for a single mid-20s guy with no kids!

Great Truck - 2001 Ford Explorer Sport
By 2k1exsport - March 28 - 11:20 amTraded a 97 F150 2WD Reg Cab, since I needed the back seat (for a 3 year old). Short wheel base makes for stiff/bumpy ride, but as long as you dont drive too fast, its not a problem. Engine is very nice, and has plenty of power. 4WD works great, and the short wheel base helps in off road situations. MPG could be better, but it is a truck! Cargo room is great, plenty of room for a sub woofer, and a few days worth of clothes, and paint supplies. I upgraded the stereo the day I bought it, so not sure how the stock stereo is. Tires are larger than expected, and treat/pattern is great for around town and the occasional light off roading. GREAT TRUCK for mid 20s people with 1 child.

Tuff little truck, couldnt be happier! - 2001 Ford Explorer Sport
By Liz - December 23 - 2:56 pmI love this truck! Only problem so far was covered by warrenty. Size is perfect for someone like me, no kids, 2 dogs, unmarried. Handles like a dream in the snow and carries 4 snow boards, 4 people and all the gear without any trouble or feeling weighed down. Surf board fits on top and running boards make it easy enough to strap the board on top. This truck has been very cheap to own and so far has only required maintenance to keep running; it has over 125k miles on it! Cant say enough good things about it and I will drive it until it wont start anymore. Switched out the stock shocks for Monroe and couldnt be happier. Its the only mod I made and I will never go back to stock shocks.

Owned used for 1 & 1/2 years - fun - 2001 Ford Explorer Sport
By NITH - January 30 - 10:00 amIve owned for 18 months. Its been great to drive. Great for short camping trips. Ive also driven it long distances with easy. It is a solid vehicle I dont ever have to worry about. Perfect vehicle for single or married w/o kids. CD Player is awesome. Backseat is hard for people to get into. DO NOT TOW WITH THIS VEHICLE! I towed a Mini Cooper on a full size trailer and burnt my brakes out. Quick and a great daily driver.
