Love My Escort - 1993 Ford Escort
By SCMunchkin - January 18 - 2:00 amI love my escort & it has been very reliable. Have taken many road trips with it & never had any problems.Other than normal maint. I have only replaced the clutch, the dr side cv joint and heater core. I have never been stranded in all my travels. In 02 it finally gave out w/163000 miles. Had motor replaced runs great now and odometer reads 200589 (actual is 63000 on new motor). Interior good cond and exterior no rust just some scratches and bumper damage from some idiot backing into me and not said a word. I have used and abused this car for multiple purposes. Think of buying another car but not sure I want to part w/my baby.

good hauler - 1993 Ford Escort
By michiganman - November 30 - 2:00 amI used this car to haul 8ft lumber in sdie with hatch close. Also. I installed a hitch to haul small trailers with home improvement items. The car was abused, I guess, but kept going strong. I replaced the exhaust and struts twice, and clutch once but little else. To keep the AC from running constantly, I tinted the 7 windows. Big winter boots tended to rub the brake pedal when using the gas pedal. A small seat cushion helped smooth out the rough Michigan highway roads and is required for long trips. The car was worth every penny I spent on it. Great gas mileage.

Great Car - 1993 Ford Escort
By ford-4-me - November 19 - 2:00 amThis has been a great car. Orginally bought after a divorce when needing an in-expensive car to get me by. Well, 10yrs later, still have it. Minimum maintainence, Replaced tires & battery & rear springs. Thats it!! Great, dependable car, fun to drive especially in snow. Still looks (near) new today.

Wish I could keep it forever - 1993 Ford Escort
By Louiza - November 3 - 2:00 amA great little car. It would be even better if I had not taken it to horrible places such as All Tune and Lube in Fairfax. They fixed one thing and destroyed another...Having a great mechanic is important, and I think with the help of one, the Ford Escort 93 can keep going and going and going.

Alaska owned - 1993 Ford Escort
By anchmike - October 27 - 2:00 amI have been very pleased with this car. I am an active outdoor enthusiast and have taken this car places where others with two wheel drive wouldnt go. The front wheel drive is excellent. I have had virtually noproblems with this car until recently when it started missing. Turns out the plugs and wiring and timing belt were all still original and should have ben replaced 30,000 miles ago anyway! So now that it has been it is running great again.

More than you paid for - 1993 Ford Escort
By Roadkill - October 3 - 2:00 amBeen driving this car for 50,000 miles and havent spent a dime on it except for regular maintenance. Alas its too weak to drive on the highway with more than one person in the car, but if you spend most of your time in the city, you cant do better bang for your buck. Highway fuel economy averages to 35 mpg.

Love My Wagon - 1993 Ford Escort
By LoveMyWagon - September 30 - 2:00 amIve had my navy blue wagon since I drove it off of the dealers lot. This car has never left me stranded. Replaced heater core (leaking coolant in 99 $400), and the ignition (03 $200). The ignition gave out when I was at PepBoys so, I wasnt really stranded... Other than these items and routine maintenance, everything else is original. The A/C still blows ice cold air during hot TX summers, never serviced. Ive since bought a new car but couldnt bare to trade it in. In fact, I drive this car more than my new minivan. ODO - 114K.
