What will I do when its gone? - 1991 Ford Escort
By Gukchuck - September 23 - 2:00 amIm the OEM buyer of this car and its been great. The mileage, the performance and just the sheer fun of the vehicle. I can stash any of my bicycles into the back (including my recumbent) and the only time its ever been towed is when the missus parked it badly. The biggest improvement I made was to replace the sport Eagle GT+4 tires with touring tires and replacing the OEM struts with gas charged struts.

The most reliable car ever made. - 1991 Ford Escort
By Rob k - September 19 - 2:00 amI have had my escort for almost 2 years now and it is the best purchase I ever made. It only cost me $1400 to buy and I have only had to replace 1 tire for $35. So far it has averaged out to less than $70 a month for the time Ive had it. I dont have any doubt it will last me for well over another year. I plan on driving it until it breaks down, I may drive it for another 5 years. If anyone is planning on buying one I strongly recomned it.

Now that I have a 198,000 miles on it without problems...I cant convience myself replace the car for a new one. Problem area: Rust and holes in the hatch which brings in the exhaust gas into the cabin. Summay: Very good car

Great Small Car - 1991 Ford Escort

I am comparing that with my 1991 Ford Escort Gt Model.One thing that I like is the great gas milleage I get on it. In the city I average about 20 Miles a gallon and I live in NYC, lots of traffic. I like the suspension which makes the ride rigid but rather sporty. The car is equiped with a 1.8 L engine dual cam. It has 128 HP which makes it quite faster than the Civic. Even a brand new civic doesnt have as much power as my GT. Well, I purchased the car in Good shape, I only did minor tune up on it. I strongly recomend buying the GT.

Affordable, Reliable, Fun - 1991 Ford Escort

Now I have almost 100,000 miles on it, and I have had very few problems with this car, only general maintenance (brakes, belts, etc.) The vehicle still runs great, and the body has held up wonderfully, no rust at all! Also, it has pretty good power for a small economy car if you opt for the 5 speed, and it has very tight handling. It gets around great in the winter and is good on gas, too. I would definitely recommend this car.
