Fun but UGLY - 1994 Ford Escort
By Jalop - May 28 - 8:12 pmi havent owned the vehicle long, but it has been in my family since it was less than a year old. has been very very reliable. survived 4 wrecks. the a/c went out and requires about $350 in repairs to get it fixed. most everything in the a/c went out at the same time. it has to be one of the ugliest cars i have ever owned. horrible interior design.

I liked it until... - 1994 Ford Escort
By x2b4 - December 3 - 1:30 amThis car has been fine since I bought it, but with only 55,000 miles the darn thing died on me last week. The poorly made engine had a problem with a cylinder head, and now the thing is dead.

Its not quite perfect - 1994 Ford Escort
By ba - January 15 - 2:00 amIts a long lasting car. Acceleration is poor and only seems better during night time. Does not do well against hills. The most gradual hills will cause the car to deaccelerate even when the gas pedal is pushed all the way down. Burns gas quickly and the gas reader begins to shake. The speedometer stick shakes when reaching speeds over 70. The car also lidles too high it goes 10 miles and hour when just put into gear with automatics. Radiator uses a lot of coolant and often leaks when parked. For some strange reason the car actually keeps on truckin.

The less miles the better! - 1994 Ford Escort
By Amanda H - June 14 - 2:00 amI had my Escort for around 3 months before the timing belt broke at 140,000- leaving me with a worthless car. Granted this was my fault, but even before the car had its problems. The check coolant light was always on- but it had plenty of coolant and never ran hot. Also had the steering wheel light always flashing, mechanic thought that it probably had to do with the sensors. The rear defroster button also stopped staying in the on position. It worked, but you had to hold the button down yourself. However, having said all that- I believe an Escort with about half the mileage of mine would be a fine starter car for someone.
