Not perfect but still 5 Stars - 2013 Ford Edge
By sjoiii - July 3 - 7:51 pmThis is a very smooth quiet riding Crossover which I like better than the Explorer that I traded. I get about 19 mph around town and about 25.5 mph on a trip with the standard 285 HP engine. The seats have good support and it gives me plenty of power on the Western PA hills. I have just driven this about 3,000 miles and my only criticism is that the automatic six speed transmission is rough on occasion. Fortunately my SE does not have the busy MY Ford screen of which everyone complains.

UGH! Consider something else - 2013 Ford Edge
By ajanderson10 - November 7 - 6:43 amIt appears that I may have gotten the DUD of the Edges. I purchased mine new in 2013 after having an accident with a teenager who totaled my previous car. I selected the Edge because it was nice to look at, and it was a fantastic buy. I regret that impulsive purchase now. Since I purchased this car it has been in the shop 7 times, 4 of those in the first 6 months with A/C unit now working properly, and the other 3 times Ive had to have my door latch changed and a sensor in my dashboard fixed. My car is low mileage. Right now its sitting at 31, 200. In addition to these issues, Ive had three dead batteries due to corrosion at the battery leads. Its not an easy fix, and theres really no reason to have to replace batteries so many times. I really want to love my car, but I cant overlook these issues :( UPDATED 09/13/17 at 40,600 miles. Still getting those new batteries....But its still handling well as it should for having so few miles on it. The front Ford Emblem is now silver--but looking around at many new fords 2012/13/14 that seems to be an issue. Youd think they would want to have their emblem be identifiable...or not.

By PAMELA - August 2 - 4:56 amThis vehicle is one of my all time favorites. The ride is smooth, with no vibrations or road noise. It is extremely easy to get in and out of the vehicle. There is comfortable seating and lots of cargo space. I always have enough room for whatever I want to take with me. Gas mileage is great for a SUV. I love the back up camera and the sound system is excellent and clear no matter how loud I turn up the music. I am very happy with this purchase and definitely got bang for my buck!

Room for improvement - 2013 Ford Edge
By Sharon Machicek - December 23 - 7:07 pmMy biggest piece of advise on this SUV......drive it at night time before you buy it, because night visibility is horrible!! Front seats are not comfortable but back seats are great. Love how the back seats recline. Were a family of three so plenty of room. Love how fast it accelerates in "sport" mode. Ride can be a bit rough, but 22s will do that. Ive had a couple issues with the driver side door not registering its closed. Had to take it in on two separate occasions to have it fixed. Had a sensor go bad & back up camera stopped working so had to be replaced. Overall I like my Edge Sport, but the lights on it are ridiculously bad. Would I buy it again....no. Looking forward to the day I trade it in.

A few quibbles - 2013 Ford Edge
By Mike LaBella - February 11 - 12:52 pmWe purchased a 2013 EDGE SEL 4wd with 38,000 miles on it and it appeared to be in mint condition. Several months later, I noticed that one of the rubber door gaskets was twisted out of position, and could not be reinserted so we had to have it replaced. Several months later, another gasket detached from the drivers door when I grabbed the top portion of the door, although it was easily put back in position. Ive owned 15 cars in my lifetime and never had a SINGLE door gasket fail. When test driving our Edge, I had not noticed how the doors close with a clank, unlike my sons 2014 Corolla that close with a "THUD." Im no engineer, but all four the doors seem kind of flimsy for a nearly $40k retail vehicle. I dont care for the rear bumper top surface, which on many SUVs (including my Hyundai Santa Fe) have a black protective plastic shield. I already have a have dozen scratches and dings in the bumpers pearl white paint from normal wear. Ill look into an after market protector. The transmission shifts strangely from a stop into first gear, or when downshifting from first, as it kind of slams into gear, which doesnt inspire confidence so Im glad I bought an extended warranty. Although I will bring it in to have it checked out, but in my experience with other vehicles with the same kind of problem, it usually doesnt show up as an error code... Road noise on the highway is higher than I would have expected, which could be the factory Michelin tires. Ill have to have them inspected but Im not confident they will find anything. Seating and visibility are excellent, and interior materials seem to be of good quality. When braking, the EDGE doesnt slow down smoothly as other vehicles Ive owned. I have to apply more brake pressure than Im used to, and the Edge kind of stops abruptly. Thats probably my biggest complaint, so again I have to bring it to the shop to have it looked at. The rotors were replaced at no cost to me a week after we bought the vehicle, as they were found to be rusted and noisy, but the dealer should also have replaced the pads too but did not. I dont like the USB ports hidden in the center armrest. If the road noise were less and the brakes operated more smoothly, Id be a lot happier with this EDGE.

Solid SUV - 2013 Ford Edge
By Chaz - April 30 - 1:31 amBought this for spouse and she loves it! This SUV looks and rides great. Very smooth v6 motor and smooth shifting transmission. Heated leather seats are great. The 20 inch chrome wheels make this very look sporty. Had car for a year and the ride is smooth and great for trips!

GREAT value for a reasonable price - 2013 Ford Edge
By Dick Williams - July 3 - 12:59 amAlways kept in a garage. No dings, dents or scratches. Clean. Serviced and maintained per FORDs schedule. Had the full maintenance package when car originally purchased. One owner. Moved out of town is the reason for selling.
