Overview & Reviews
The Jeep/Eagle division was formed in 1988 shortly after Chrysler bought the American Motors Corporation in 1987.
At the time, Detroit brands like Chrysler were trying to fend off increasing sales by import brands with the creation of their own import-style sales divisions. Eagle began with the Renault-influenced products developed for AMC, the Eagle Premier and the Eagle Medallion. The rest of the division's portfolio was filled out by vehicles from Mitsubishi, the Japanese company that had long been Chrysler's partner in the importation of small, fuel-efficient vehicles.
Jeep sales gave some energy to the Eagle division, but once Chrysler broke off the sport-utility brand and made it available to its own dealers as the SUV boom began in the 1990s, the Eagle brand quickly foundered. Chrysler announced the end of the Eagle brand in November 1997 and the last Eagle Talon, a badge-engineered version of the Mitsubishi Eclipse, came off the assembly line shortly thereafter.

Love my 92 Talon Tsi AWD Turbo - 1992 Eagle Talon
By davinci - July 22 - 2:00 amAfter 12 years and 133,000 fun miles, it is still a great car to drive! Regretfully, Im trading it in tomorrow. It is using a little oil now but otherwise is still purring as when it was new. It has a great throaty sound when the turbo kicks in and pushes you back in the seat. It loves the back roads but really slices down the freeway, too. I know Im going to miss this car

Excellent Performer/ minor flaws - 1997 Eagle Talon
By Richard M. - April 16 - 2:00 amPerformance is great as is aftermarket support for this model, all weaknesses have been found researched and most corrected. DO NOT PUT CHEAP TIRES or SUPER SOFT RACE RUBBER on these cars, they do eat tires up with the AWD, heavy weight, and power. The turbo is a little too small for maximum performance at high RPM,however it is more than enough for any commute, and provides Jet Fighter like thrust at low speeds (15 -45 mph) in traffic for excellent passing. about 30 mpg on highway at 80 mph

Great little car - 1991 Eagle Talon
By robt - March 4 - 2:00 amI Really enjoy this car, its not my 280zx but I enjoy it. great handles great, seats comfortable on the highway, gas mileage is ok. if you buy one of these things and it has less than 100k on it change the timing belt unless you have documented proof it has been done! you will be sorry if you dont!

Eagle Vision TSi Kicks Ass... - 1993 Eagle Vision
By KickAssGurl100 - February 14 - 2:00 amIve had my car for 7 years now and love it. Never had any problems with it just keeping up with the oil changes, brakes, fluids, etc which I do all myself. The car hugs the curves and doesnt do that rolly polly thing. Well, for me the gas mileage is good. Since I drive lots of long country roads I get 26mpg.

70K and Bullet proof - 1997 Eagle Vision
By hockhog203 - January 26 - 2:00 amBought this car as a leftover in 1998 for $16,000. 3.5 motor has plenty of power. Car handles great! Soft ride, great control Repair costs have totalled about $100 since brand new. A little rough on the front rotors, 2 sets in 60k. Holds 5 people in comfort. Would buy this car again in a heartbeat.

Never Sell my TALON - 1992 Eagle Talon
By ETALONMAN - January 23 - 2:00 amThe car is FAST, beautiful, and I would say fairly reliable. Im impressed with the quality of workman ship building it. Of course, every car has its problems and I have to agree with a few people here that the tranny, and the valve seals (burning oil after idling for a while) have been a major maintence job. All in all, the car has been good to me and Ive been somewhat good to it cause I love driving it hard. Again, I wouldnt sell it. I had people offering me $14,000 CAD for it 4 years ago.

Great Full Size Sedan - 1997 Eagle Vision
By thiel433 - January 11 - 2:00 amThis full size sedan has been nothing short of a stellar vehicle. I have literally traveled all over the country from coast to coast with the car and it has been a champion over time. Not to mention, I have gotten some great looks for its style and looks. Definitely a great buy!!
