I love my Dodge - 1998 Dodge Stratus
By Christina Salem, Ore - August 22 - 2:00 amThis was the only kind of car I wanted when my husband and I set out to buy a new family car. A couple of my friends also owned Dodge Stratuss. I enjoyed both driving thiers, and riding. I wanted something big enough, and reliable to drive my family in, without looking like a "den mother". Taking into consideration the apperance and dependability of Dodge Stratus there was no choice. I LOVE MY DODGE STRATUS.

A great sedan - 1998 Dodge Stratus
By Tim Walters - June 3 - 2:00 amI have 101,000 miles on my 1998 Stratus ES. I bought it as a program car and have put many miles on it. I havent had any mechanical problems at all. All Ive had done to it, besides routine maintenance, is a replaced windshield (rock from road), New trans. gasket that was leaking (it was due for service anyway).

Reliability - 1998 Dodge Stratus
By prochap - May 30 - 2:00 amDrivability and handling has been great both in the city and on the highway. Performance with 4 cyc has been just fine for my needs even in mountains at times. Plenty of power on freeway.

Stratus - 1998 Dodge Stratus
By diskullman - May 28 - 2:00 amCar looks great, runs great, when it runs. When it breaks, take it to your lawyer first, youll get the repair done quicker. With 70,000 miles , this car has been through 4 sets of brakes. Cab forward, weight forward, with nothing doen to improve the brakes. The newer models have larger rotors & pads, which proves Chrysler knows there is something wrong. Replaced headgasket at 60,000 miles, car leaked oil like an old junker.I will NEVER buy another Chrysler product, new or used.

I really like this car! - 1998 Dodge Stratus
By okcKev - April 2 - 2:00 amIve owned 22 cars so far, this one has been my favorite. Its looks are deceiving, it has a lot more room than youd expect. The car has been very reliable. I still have no leaks, squeaks or rattles. I avg. 23mpg combined city/hwy and 32mpg hwy driving (2.4L 4cyl). I will probably buy another Stratus when its time to replace this one. I presently have 60K miles on it and only routine maintenance has been required to date.

New Car??? - 1998 Dodge Stratus
By cboy - March 19 - 2:00 amWe bought this car new, and have really liked the looks and how the car drives. Our problem has been the $700 head gasket repair at 40K miles, and a $270 power steering pump replacement at 52K miles. Were keeping for at least 2 more years, but Im going to think long and hard before I buy another Dodge. They make great looking cars, but looks arent everything. I need a car that breaks down after 100+K miles, not 40K.

ES is Best - 1998 Dodge Stratus
By JH - March 16 - 9:50 pmMy 98 Stratus ES has been a great all-around car. The ride in the ES is much better than the 97 SE that we have. Only complaint is the front cup holder.

Problems - 1998 Dodge Stratus
By erasure - March 11 - 2:47 amAfter having the car for 10 months and taking it to another place to have the oil changed, they found that the antifreeze color was brown, with sludge in it. Lazares didnt want to flush it for me. But after complaining some more they did. Also when I got the oil changed they said I have an oil leak. I found out that they are known to have the rear main seal leak. The car only has 46,000 miles on it. Also alot of road noise
