Overview & Reviews
The Stratus sedan now offers a Sport Appearance Package on the SXT that mimics the look of the R/T by offering sport instruments, chrome wheels and a spoiler.
- Low pricing, solid ride and handling characteristics, large trunk.
- Unrefined drivetrains, uncomfortable backseats, subpar build and materials quality, looks positively dull next to the Magnum.

Pleasently Surprised - 2005 Dodge Stratus
By Rob Watkins - June 24 - 2:17 pmI bought this about a year ago. Ive had no trouble with it. Ride and drive is really good and better than I expected. 4 cylinder is quite athletic when the air is off, a bit boggy when its on from a stop. A/C is ice cold. Overall quality is much better than my last Chrysler product, a 96 Sebring conv. People comment on how handsome this car looks and I agree. I know some people have had trouble with their coupes but I must have gotten a good one. I like the dash and door panels a lot. My car has the Special Edition package, which is 2 tone leather seats and a couple other goodies thrown in. Inside, with the blk/gray leather seats is nearly luxurious. Gas mileage is good. Love this car!

A good & reliable car - 2005 Dodge Stratus
By Annie - May 6 - 12:10 amThis is a great car whether you drive in the city or highway. It is a good and sturdy car. It does great on gas mileage. I am disappointed at the comfort of the interior. The seats are uncomfortable for long trips. But if you intend to drive this car daily to work and around the city, it is the right size and the right car for you.

Give it a chance - 2005 Dodge Stratus
By Naomi - April 12 - 3:57 pmI just got this car and it is a very nice car, fun to drive and everyone I know really likes it. In fact 2 of my friends are getting one. It is under $20,000 unlike most cars with the same options. I feel it is a good car with lots of room in the back. My friend is 62 and fit in it w/o hitting his knees on my seat. Overall I give it a 10. My reason I got it is because a friend of mine has had theirs for 3 years and loves it and has been very reliable for her.

Excellent Value - 2005 Dodge Stratus
By Chaz - February 24 - 2:13 pmThis car has everything I need comfort, style and performance. Not all of us are in the market for a BMW. Having read the Edmunds review, I have to say that this car is under-rated and that Edmunds has a certain snobishness when it comes to rating cars. We are not all "Speed Racers" or "Track Demons". This is good solid transportation with style, comfort and a host of convenience features. A lot of what is out there is in fact "over engineered" for the needs of the average driver. Dodge and its parent company have tapped into a market segment where their car does not look like a cookie cutter in style and stands apart from the rest. I have gotten many, many compliments on the car.

Like riding on Air..... - 2005 Dodge Stratus
By Sherry - December 31 - 12:47 pmThis car is so comfortable. Not only is it great to drive, but Ive found that it is a nice family car. The only word that I can say is "Comfortable". Very smooth and so far no mechanical problems. I am loving the smooth ride and decent stereo. I think I will have the car for a long time.

I Love My Stratus!!! - 2005 Dodge Stratus
By Becky - October 30 - 3:43 pmI had a Dodge Stratus back in 99 that held me through 250,000 miles....I never had a problem with that car and only had to replace the norms (brakes, etc)...I only traded it in because of the miles and only had problems with other brands until I purchased another vehicle made by Chrysler/Dodge. Now I have a 2003 Sebring and my new baby, my 2005 Stratus. I love this car in the way that it handles, the look, and the gas mileage isnt too shabby either.
