Overview & Reviews
Subtle styling revisions are the most obvious change to the Stratus for 1997. Sound systems have been improved, rear seat heat ducts benefit from improved flow, and the optional 2.4-liter engine runs quieter. New colors and a revised console round out changes.

Loved my Stratus - 1997 Dodge Stratus
By Rubes - April 8 - 2:00 amSorry to say but we are selling one of the most fun cars we have owned. The autostick has proven a lot more fun than I ever thought. We purchased a 100K extended warranty with the car which was a real waste as the car was never in the shop.

This car keeps on going and going ...... - 1997 Dodge Stratus
By Eddybauer1 - March 8 - 1:44 amI bought this car new in 1996, all I have done to it was change the oil, replace tires as needed and put gas in it, during the last few months I had the brakes done, and had the timing belt replaced, and the oil pressure sending unit started leaking oil, all after 130,000 miles, it gets awesome gas mileage, 35 mpg in town and 40 mpg on the highway. The car it handles like it is on rails, alot of fun to drive.
