prefer it to my 87 celica gt - 2004 Dodge Neon
By demrdi - March 29 - 10:00 amI consider the Neon to be among the most under-rated cars on the road. Its faster and handles better than the poor mans Porsche that I drove from 90- 93, and has gotten me up many a steep slipery slope in winter. Its the second one Ive owned, the first was a 96 and very satisfactory, and this 03 is better in every way.

Great all around car - 2004 Dodge Neon

I do enjoy the pick up and go that this car has, but I also like the fact that it has plenty of space for the weekly grocery store trip. On the downside though it is just a Neon so its not like a BMW in terms of elegance or styling. But for me, I really wanted to have performance at a low cost and the SRT-4 definitely fit that description. So if youre a gear head and want something to build, the SRT-4 is a great place to start. Its relatively cheap and there are a lot of aftermarket parts out there. And after a few modifications you can really hang with most of the bigger guys out there.

By Scott Williams - January 7 - 2:00 amThis is a really fun car to drive and handles extremely well for the price. And yes, the sound system is fantastic. It accelerates very well and is great in turns and twisting roads. The gas mileage is more than adequate, and its very roomy inside. My kids think there is more than enough elbow room. I would recommend this car to anyone. You wont regret buying the R/T model.

Good car for the most part - 2004 Dodge Neon
By MENACE/SRT4 - December 1 - 4:37 pmWell what can I say, is faster than I expected. For the price is worth it for the most part. I bought my SRT about 5 months ago. It had 27k miles on it. For the first couple months it ran good, but I started to notice oil leaks. I took it back to the dealer. It turns out to be the oil pan. Thats what they said the first time. Well Ive been to the dealer more than six times and they still cant fix that leak. Oil pan has been replaced twice. From what I hear these cars have oil leak problems. My SRT is at the dealer right now. Its the fastest under $20k but if you are thinking of buying you better get extended warranty..

SRT-4 Fun to Drive - 2004 Dodge Neon
By Jess - November 10 - 9:15 amIm not a Neon fan, but I love turbo motors and Dodge built this one right! With minor mods, I was able to boost the SRT from 228HP and 253ft/tq at the wheels to 246HP and 276 ft/tb at the wheels. This car is by far the best bang for the buck sports sedan out there!

By CHOPS - October 14 - 2:00 amPerformance wise this car is unbeatable for the money, but when it comes right down to it, this is still a Dodge with its poor craftsmanship & all the little problems that come when owning a Chrysler product. If you compare this to other vehicles in its class & drive it, you will fall in love with its superb performance & you will accept all the minor problems you will encounter.

By TheCube17 - August 27 - 2:00 amI got this car in August, and have put about 15k miles on it so far and im only in april. but this car is BLAST! passing cars is easy and i love to here that engine scream entering from a onramp. the only bad thing i have notice is wind noise when all the windows are up, and road noise, espically in rain.
