Overview & Reviews
Everything's new inside and out, as the second-generation 2000 Dodge Neon grows up, not old. A totally redesigned suspension and steering system, low-speed traction control, and a complete exterior redesign head up the notable changes.
- Large interior, competent handling, attractive interior and exterior styling.
- Noisy engine, archaic three-speed automatic transmission, lack of feature content.

Watch Out!! - 2000 Dodge Neon
By mad - June 25 - 2:00 amNot a bad car until about 43k miles (warranty runs out at 35k). Now, AT THE SAME TIME, the rear main seal blows and its spewing oil everywhere, AND the dealer tells me it needs a new steering rack. That adds up to over $1,000 worth of repairs and Im not even over 50k miles. Ill fix it then sell this stupid car before anything else goes wrong. I will never buy another Chrysler product again if I can help it.

Not too bad for the price. - 2000 Dodge Neon
By JohnK311 - March 14 - 8:44 pmI was forced to buy a Neon because my Dodge Ram crapped out and I needed trade it in to the dealer who had towed it in to be repaired (again!). The Neon was supposed to be temporary until I fouond something I really wanted to buy. Ive been satisfied with the car, payments are low, and I have no good reason to buy anything else. The car is a little noisy with some vibration, but since I always have music cranked it doesnt bother me. I had to have the drivers side door lock fixed. but except for a $50 it was paid for by the warranty. I think Ill keep it.. at least until the warranty expires.
