Overview & Reviews
The popular Dodge Magnum remains essentially unchanged, but bright trim on the SXT's grille, doors and interior is new. The SXT now comes with standard foglights, and both the SXT and RT now have an optional rear-seat DVD player that flips up from the center console. Eighteen-inch wheels are now optional on the SXT and 17-inch machined aluminum wheels are offered on rear-wheel-drive versions. Later in the model year, the SXT's four-speed automatic transmission will be replaced with a five-speed unit.
- Aggressively handsome wagon body style, powerful Hemi V8, quiet ride, roomy interior, lots of safety features, available all-wheel drive.
- Sluggish acceleration with base V6, too much hard plastic interior trim.

Better Than Ever - 2006 Dodge Magnum
By tom - June 2 - 5:48 pmOverall fit and finish is more than excellent for a car in this price range. Take a tour of the outside and see the detail given to the body seams, their almost perfect all around the car. sit inside and notice that this is a drivers car. Its easy to get in a good driving position and all controls are extremely easy to use. The only downside is the comfort level of the seats over a long trip. This needs to be looked at by Dodge.

I love my Magnum - 2006 Dodge Magnum
By Trisha - April 22 - 10:21 pmI fell in love when I first saw the Magnum but to actually own one is a dream come true. To have the Hemi and the power in a station wagon is so wonderful. You have the power of a truck or SUV but the space and comfort of a mini van. I am completely happy and satisfied with my vehicle and cannot wait to drive it everyday. It goes when I need it to and gives me the comfort and safety I need on the roads today.

New Dodge Magnum 2006 - 2006 Dodge Magnum
By hopper - October 16 - 5:46 pmAll in all this is a great car. There are a few things that we dont like. The size and cargo is excellent. We packed our house in it for the evacuation of hurricaine Rita. The car drove great in 28 hours of traffic , never ran out of gas. It has large gas tank and great fuel economy. The things we dislike are that the air conditioner blows hot air at you when you first turn it on. This is annoying when it is hot out. The other things are that the arm rests are extremely hard and hurt your elbow. The windows are high so when you hang your arm out the window it is at an uncomfortable angle. But most of the things we love about this car.

Looks great, less filling - 2006 Dodge Magnum
By Dave - November 17 - 10:23 amI read a lot of the reviews on this site and they helped me make my purchase. I like the car for the most part but my fiance has a bad back and cant drive more than an hour without severe pain. The rear of the car gets really hot after a couple hours of driving and my dogs roast as a result. Compared to my old 95 Vette, it corners like a pig but its got some nice power for getting around town. Ive had it one month and I have found serious problems with it that the dealer says they cant reproduce. I paid $43k out the door and dont feel the quality is worth the expense. I will never buy another Dodge!

Surprised purchase - 2006 Dodge Magnum
By damian - October 14 - 2:46 pmI purchased this car to get away from the look and feel of the SUVs and to my surprise, it seems I got a big car with comfort that you would get in a luxury mode,l and the sportiness of a smaller car. The drive is simply breath taking

Fun, Fast & Roomy - 2006 Dodge Magnum
By Mark Rempe - August 16 - 2:00 pmThe Magnum RT is a hot rod car with the ride of a luxury car. Excellent acceleration. Runs well in snow with the ESP traction on. Has plenty of room while still being sporty. Stereo system very nice for a factory installed unit. A pleasure to drive.
