Had 2002 Durango, did not like it. Rode rough. The new Durango is great. Smooth ride, bigger, and it has a Hemi! I would recommand to anyone.

We had a 2002 R/T and loved driving it...only dissapointment was we could not have a sun roof. Welcome to 2004. The options available are so nice. The ride is far more comfortable (if that was possible) and it looks great!

  • Dont do it! - 2004 Dodge Durango

Have owned this Durango for 6 months; been in the shop 5 times for warranty issues. The electrical system is not put together well. Like others, radio has gone out 3 times, lights flicker on/off inside, headlights went out twice at night while on freeway, A/C blows HOT off/on during summer,wind- shield wipers malfunctioned during storm, occasional pause during acceleration on freeway, bad dealership support (always same answer, "bring it back when its doing it"). Cannot recommend this vehicle until electrical system is fixed or installed better. Also, low on head room in the front. Chrysler no help!

I purchased a 2004 SLT 2 wheel drive 4.7 liter. I have only had it for 3 days, BUT I LOVE IT. I had a 98 Ram quad cab pick up that I trade in and got a GREAT DEAL on my new Durango. The only thing I am not crazy about is the lack of storage in the drivers area. The glove compartment is small, andso is the center storage area. I love the 4.7 liter. It will get up and run. I have not had it on a extended road trip yet, but I have had it on the HWY and was very impressed with, everything about it.

  • First Impressions - 2004 Dodge Durango

I just picked up my new Durango Ltd AWD with the works. (5.7, AWD, 3.92 rear end, LTD package, sunroof, DVD, heated seats, etc.) I was not impressed with the paint job. The finish had some contamination under the paint and you could see this when the light is not directly shining on the vehicle. Seems to be limited to one side. Also not impressed with the seat hinge for the 2nd row seat as it protrudes out far enough to scrape your lower back as you enter/exit the rear seat. Of course I knew the gas mileage would be bad with the hemi.

  • STILL SMILING - 2004 Dodge Durango

Nice solid vehicle, pleases the whole family. HEMI engine is out of this world I use to drive a 350 Nissan Z and with the HEMI power i dont miss it.

  • You will NOT be disappointed! - 2004 Dodge Durango

I just recently purchased my Durango. The ride quality and the build quality of this vehicle are just superb! For as large as this vehicle is, it handles like a small SUV! I chose the 5.7L Hemi and would definitely recommend spending the extra $895 for it, no matter what trim level you choose. Im actually getting better gas mileage in this Durango Hemi than I was with my 4.7L V8 in my old Dodge Dakota Quad Cab.
