I love my 2000 Sport... First truck I have ever had for my first vehicle. I love it! Traded a ford ranger for it. The fords frame was rusted through, and the durango needed a new tranny that we didnt know about right away, but got that fixed and now it drives like a pro. Gets through feet and feet of snow. shoot, it even climbs snow hills.

i have had my durango for about a year and it was fun to drive and was great on gas. but one day i was out with my friend we were on a dirt road messing around but then we were heading home and a deer ran out in front of me. i lost control of the car and flipthe durango we were ok nothing to bad but the suv was a lose. i would have to say that the durango saved my life and i would be proud to buy another one.

When my BMW broke down i had to get a new vehicle. I work for a VW dealership and a customer traded this durango in. This truck was immaculant for the miles. I was used to 30 mpg but always in a small car. This SUV is comfortable and very fun to drive. I have heard and saw all the horror stories about this truck. I will not be getting rid of this vehicle at all!!!

  • Best and longest Car I ever owned - 2000 Dodge Durango

I had my Dodge Durango for 10 years and loved every minute of it. It did what I wanted and I had great gas mileage when I drove it 20 mpg on the highway. I cried when I traded it in for a newer SUV.

I bought my durango in 2006 with 80,000 mi on it. Since then the only major repairs I have done were the water pump and the blend door. Being two separate transactions only totaled about $2800 both done by Firestone. I have had an issue with turning off at a stop light with little to no warning. But if you let the engine warm up it is an amazing truck. I now have 168,000 mi on it and it is still running strong. My favorite feature on the truck is the seating. The entire family can go on trips comfortably. With seating for up to 9 people and 2nd and 3rd row fold flat seats makes moving a breeze. I would absolutely recommend this car. I will own this car till the wheels fall off.

  • Durable & Aggressive - 2000 Dodge Durango

I have owned this Durango since its inception back in November 1999 and it has been impressive. A lot of people bash these durangos based on reliability, though I have witnessed its durability through the 10 years I have owned it. I am at about 400,000 KM/ 240,000 Miles and it has only broken down once where a minor $200 fuel pump repair took place. It has been a great family car and has done its job perfectly. An obvious flaw is the terrible fuel efficiency at 14 mpg city, which you can actually witness your fuel dwindling as you drive. Overall, its a great ride, its good in the winter, and its got a very generous towing capacity. Im just glad I have a 2010 Corolla on the side.

I have had my R/T for 10 years and it has 210,000 miles. Other than a new trans at 165,000, we have conducted normal required maintenance. Its been undercoated twice and has zero rust. We love this truck and it will never be part of the C.A.R.S (clunker) program. Let gas be $7 per gal, we will continue to drive it.

  • Great Quality - 2000 Dodge Durango

With regular maintenance and upkeep the 2000 Dodge Durango Sport will run till you wreck it! We had just around out 130k on it and had covered from the west coast, the south, and the heart of the midwest. The only problem we had was with the passenger side actuator ($10), drivers side windows (both required no new parts)and heater took a while to heat up and that was only after having Firestone work on it.... I dont blame Dodge. If your looking for a sturdy vehicle DO this Dodge! It will run until somebody smashes into you and totals it....p.s. the wife drove it away after it was hit...STURDY STURDY STURDY

I bought this vehicle a while ago and havent been happier with any other vehicle. I love it! I now have 156,000 miles and havent done any major maintence on it. I change and rotate tires every 2500 miles. It has a custom 6" lift with 33" toyo m/t tires. It has the 5.9L in it, with the 4.10 gears. The only downside is, I now only average 10mpg in town and about 11.5 on the highway at 70mph. But this vehicle is a blast to drive! And now that gas is more affordable, I wouldnt trade it for anything!

A lot of people drive SUVs, only a few drive a Durango! Spare me the label identity and mini-van-SUVs...those are for the people who would pay thousands more to show up the rest of the neighborhood. Dont talk to me about over priced foriegn luxury SUVs are tinker toys that claim to fit 5 adults if you like sitting in a car that fits you like a 60s VW. I owned the Toyota (being 64", it wasnt a "fit") and the Fords (And explored the service bay and lost my car in a sea of lemmings), and this is the best. Forget the hype, go for the performance, quality, and VALUE of Dodge!
