All around great suv - 1999 Dodge Durango
By myrango - July 25 - 1:29 amIve had my durango now for 5 years. Let me tell you this has been the best suv Ive ever owned. Its realible and tough. It is just what i needed. Ive driven it to Florida and back to Louisiana 4 times, with no problems!! Outside of regular maintenance its been no problem. My 1999 durango owes me nothing. I would recommend this suv for anyone. Plenty of power(5.9 liter engine). The gas milage could be better but seriously I have no complaints. 3rd row seat provides more than enough room for friends and family. 4X4, nice ruged but stylish look and bold body style.. A great suv for camping or travel. A 5* hands down.

Best of the best built to last - 1999 Dodge Durango
By bucksbigtrucks - March 21 - 10:28 pmBought this truck with 201,000 miles, no problems. Now has 225,000 miles, still no problems. This truck runs so strong like it has only 25,000 miles. It can tow pretty much anything and 4X4 works great. Very satisfied with it. Only like the First Generation models though Second Generation looks too much like a van. Stick with the 99 - 03 and youll enjoy it.

Truly a good buy - 1999 Dodge Durango
By Tyler - February 8 - 10:33 pmI truely love this suv, its been the most reliable and handy atomobile ive evre owned. It seats 7, can get ok millange if your easy on the pedal ( with the 5.9 it will be hard to achive this) and is very sporty for its size. Its been wonderfull in the snow and great on milled of road trips. Over all a pice of metal thats durable, reliable, and fun.

Love my Durango - 1999 Dodge Durango
By CFS - August 3 - 1:47 pmLove my Durango, the only downside is the gas mileage. If I drive carefully I can squeeze 16 mpg out of it, but old people drive by me shaking their fists because Im going too slow! Other than that I would drive this vehicle forever if I could (also if I could afford it).

Excellent truck - 1999 Dodge Durango
By greenbean24 - January 25 - 7:58 pmI love this truck! Its way more of a truck than I thought (which is good for me). The 5.9L is a great engine and the parts for the LA based engine are extensive. I have the tan leather which was pretty dirty when I bought the truck but they cleaned up to perfect condition and there is no sign of wear after 8 years. The truck had 115,000 miles on it and a regular tune up was in order but other than that I have had no problem at all with the Durango.

Great Ride - 1999 Dodge Durango
By 20 Car Fan - November 26 - 1:16 amThe 5.9 ate up the a recent cruise through the mountains. Brakes were strong and precise. Plus, the clean lines and classic look make it a great vehicle to cruise in.

The not so new Durango - 1999 Dodge Durango
By Faith Huff - March 24 - 4:14 pmWe are a family who drives nothing but classic cars, so, buying this Durango was very difficult - but necessary. Knowing that its painful to buy a new car, this particular vehicle numbed it alot, as its good on gas, great on sleekness, and wonderful on reliability. I am a 21 year old female, and I would trust this Durango to get me across the country from California to Michigan alone without any worries. Its not new, its not a C.P.O., but its got all the space we need, the comfort, reliability and gas mileage we desire. I reccomend this vehicle to anyone, even though I generally am anti-new car. I am impressed.

By msley - March 13 - 1:36 amIve only had my Durango a short while, but so far I love it. I test drove other 1999 SUVs and my Durango beat them all, hands down. The price was right, the drive was right.

Best SUV - 1999 Dodge Durango
By Imabeliever - November 7 - 4:27 amI bought my Durango over five years ago and have had no problems. I service it every 3000 miles with AMSOIL. Ive put this vehicle to the test from day to day in town driving to serious off road mountain adventure.

Fun to Drive SUV - 1999 Dodge Durango
By Mike Quinlan - November 6 - 11:47 pmI purchased my 1999 SLT Durango used with 46K miles. I now have 61k and the car has been flawless. I love the 5.9L V8 engine for get up and go. I like the size of this SUV, not too big and not to small. I love the way the Durango handles on the road and around town. The gas mileage is reasonable, about the same as my last SUV 15 miles per gallon average for city and highway combined. The Durango is one of the best used car values because they can be purchased for a reasonable cost.
