This Year's Model Updates:

The 2008 Dodge Charger receives a freshened interior, including a redesigned instrument panel and center console, new cloth seat material and upgraded soft-touch surfaces. Other changes include a new SXT trim level and revised standard content. There are new options as well, including front seat side airbags, updated radios, an optional MyGIG infotainment system and Sirius Backseat TV. On the outside, the Charger has new wheels and optional xenon HID headlamps. Finally, the Charger, like all Chrysler products, benefits from a new limited lifetime powertrain warranty.

Pros:
  • Sporty car moves with sedan utility, strong V8 performance, affordable price.
Cons:
  • Heavy curb weight, coupelike styling hampers rear-seat access and headroom.

  • lemon--should have been yellow - 2008 Dodge Charger

In cold weather relay shorts the car still starts but no heat, no radio & gear shifter wont move. Passenger side front power window occasionally quits working. Have replaced tie rod ends, (floor pedal assembly& throttle controls twice) & now it needs a new heater core. Itt definitely fun but a financial drain. It may have a lifetrain powertrain warranty but not worth the hassles. This is not a keeper

After driving around a Honda CR-V for a year I needed a new car because that Honda is boring! This R/T is a blast the HEMI roars or just chills whenever you want this car does it. Nice roomy cabin, heated seats, nice back seat for the kids and much more ! For the money you can beat this car If I wanted a Honda I would have bought a Honda.

Bought this car off an old acquaintance and Im very satisfied with my purchase. I love the handling and engine roar I get when I floor it, granted I do only have the 2.7 v6. Interior is kinda boring with all the solid black plastic. Also poor visibility from inside, feel like Im in a tank. LOL

  • I never liked Dodge - 2008 Dodge Charger

Last year when deciding what to buy I drove several cars from BMWs to Mazdas. I saved Dodge for last mainly because I have always thought of them as cheap, ugly and unreliable. I loved the Chargers styling but what blew me away was the handling and the speed, granted I only got the 2.7 but its acceleration, handling and comfort blew away the Mazda 6 and Honda Civic and easily equaled the Taurus SHO (except in acceleration) and the BMW 3 series. I got mine for just a hair over $11,000.00 including tax title etc. and I have to say that it is one of the better cars I have ever owned. So far I have had no technical issues at all and it has been rock solid so far.

I have 2008 Charger with 60,000 miles. I lease 2 years and go only to 60 K. I have bought Impalas, Intrepeds, magnums and now a charger. I love this car. I am up for a new one and have ben looking around. I like driving a big rear wheel drive car. What I really love the way it handles. I have had one issue, the key stopped working and I had to have the car towed. I am always scared about the Trans.

I have a 2008 Charger 60,000 miles. w2.7 v6. The car is bid and I have had only two issues with this car. One I had to tow it bad key. Also bad tow problem. They replaced the front tie rod. It has been fine since. The car is coming off lease and surprising I think I am going to buy another Charger. The car is big and handles well. It also get good MFG. I am looking at Camry (Boring and slow) Impala (fast but sloppy handling) Ford Tourus (Close second) Accord (Nice but slow and back hurts) They say Dodge stinks but $22,000 its hard to beat!

I recently purchased a Dodge Charger 8 months ago and already my car has been broken into twice, both times the thieves used some kind of slim jim device and it took only seconds. All Chargers are easy to break into like this and I warn anyone who is going to purchase one to immediately get an alarm installed on it!!!

  • Quite Surprised - 2008 Dodge Charger

This is my first experience with American cars, so far despite what I had heard before Im pleasantly surprised. Charger is at the front and back, very quite engine, smooth transmission and extremely good on gas for a heavy muscle car. Interior has average quality, lots of plastic everywhere you look...One of the biggest problems I have wit this car is the stability, poor is the only word I can think of. There was some vibrating of the engine which is still there and some sort of strange problem wit tranny which i have been told all of them have (it kind of unsmooth at the beginning of movement). Over all if you can find it for a cheap price, I would definitely say go for it.

I purchased the 2008 dodge charger with the 3.5 liter. so far Ive had the rocker arms push rods and tappet covers replaced, now the clear coating is peeling off and chrysler is saying it isnt a warantable isue. this is the replacement to my first charger that the transmision blew in.

  • A Fun Car for 31K - 2008 Dodge Charger

Im very happy with my new Dodge Charger overall. I was traditionally a Ford guy, but I now have 2 kids and the backseat of the newer Mustangs just didnt cut it. It is a perfect nominal for me. There is plenty of room for the kids and plenty of horsepower for when I dont have the kids.I have taken the car on some far trips and have gotten 24 mpg on the highway. I average 15 in the city, but I have a heavy foot.
