This Year's Model Updates:

The Pacifica is an all-new six-passenger vehicle that combines the attributes of a wagon, minivan and SUV.

Pros:
  • Exceptional comfort for four, drives more like a sedan than a minivan, top-notch safety scores, upscale interior design.
Cons:
  • Average room for six, not as family-friendly as most minivans, gets expensive when you add high-end options, fussy climate and radio controls.

  • Iffy, but nice looking - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

My wife and I bought our pacifica 2 weeks ago and it has been to the sho0p twice for some squeeking noise. The dealer said its a belt problem that Chrysler is trying to fix but how long will it take. Seem very embarrising to drive a new car with temp tags and a loud squeak to go along with it. But when I did drive it it handled nice gas of course could be alot better. Oh the squek starts when you start the car and driv for a long time. And please dont try calling Chrysler because they are no help at all.

I have really enjoyed driving this vehicle for the past two years. With 2 children, one of whom is handicapped, this is a roomy, functional and comfortable vehicle. The styling is refined externally and internally. The Pacifica is equally at home at the opera or at the vacation cabin. This is one of those vehicles with a wide divergence in rating between the drivers (more positive) and the professional rating groups.

Extremely comfortable and a real head- turner. Impressed with handling and performance; DaimlerChrysler/Mercedes has a winner with the Pacifica!

  • SUV + MINIVAN = PACIFICA - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

A good, practical car with nice interior details. My wife and I decided that it was a nice compromise between a Minivan (too pedestrian and lacking in style, no 4 wheel drive on the Honda available) and an SUV (too large, difficult to get into 3rd row for our 3rd young child, and poor mileage). It has meet our expectations in almost every respect (the exceptation being that gas mileage is well below the official City and Hwy ratings) and I would recommend the car provided you can get it in the low 30s for a fully loaded version. (FYI we got about 6K off the sticker)

We moved to the Pacifica from a grand caravan. This rides much better, goes anywhere (we live in the country, and is much more pratical for our family.(5 total). our kids think the seats are confortable and i feel safer driving this w/ the additional air bags in the backseats.

So far I have had the car for about a month, and I love it to death. Very Roomy, comfortable. Very fun to drive. Only thing I wish I may have gotten which I did not was the navigation system. Wish Pcifica got better gas mileage.

  • Nice touring car - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

We bought this car for my wife who wanted something luxurious but taller sitting seat wise. We have taken two trips, one over a thousand miles round trip and were comfortable the whole way. It could use more power but it had no problem cruising at above legal speeds up hills and valleys. Our previous car had a 5 speed transmission which I think would have helped this engine. We receive a lot of stares and positive comments about the car. Everyone seems to like it. Especially mini van owners.

  • Pac Review - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

Car seems to be okay thus far in our ownership. We have every single option that came with the 04 pac awd. Even the tow package. Weve put this through the wringer so far on trips and its held up pretty well. I am meticulous though with oil changes (every 2K miles), detailing the car whenever possible, constant fluid checks and undercarage checks. Already bought a new set of tires too. Basically Im treating it like our Audi that requires vigilant maintenance in order to keep it tip top. I think the Pac will serve us well if this is continued. Pacs are such a new concept with the interior and electrical one needs to be persistant in keeping everyting up to par.

After over 2 months of driving this vehicle,it is hard to find anything wrong with it! Gas mileage is surprisingly good for its size (18/city and up to 24/highway). It is comfortable for a family of 7, with no complaints from tall adults in the second row, & 3 kids love the comfort of the third row! Ride is smooth, handling is reliable, and soundproofing (enhanced by dealer undercoating) allows for comfortable level of conversation or listening to radio. Only suggestion would be that prospective owners consider installing the backup warning system at the dealership if not already installed. Chrysler has a winner here!

  • Disappointing - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

The Pacifica did not live up to my expectations. It handles like soggy sponge, rattles from the back, and has very little headroom. The 3rd row seats are a joke. The DVD entertainment is broken. This is hard to explain, but the AWD tracks the road like a big truck -- it feels heavy and slow. Exterior styling is very good, but not enough to justify the $7000 over MSRP the dealership was asking. Until Chrisler figures out how to give this wheezing car a triple-bypass, youre much better off in one of the new 2004 Toyota Siennas or a Lexus RX- 330.
