This Year's Model Updates:

The Pacifica is an all-new six-passenger vehicle that combines the attributes of a wagon, minivan and SUV.

Pros:
  • Exceptional comfort for four, drives more like a sedan than a minivan, top-notch safety scores, upscale interior design.
Cons:
  • Average room for six, not as family-friendly as most minivans, gets expensive when you add high-end options, fussy climate and radio controls.

  • I LOVE MY PACIFICA! ITS THE BEST SUV - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica
    By -

Before purchasing my PACIFICA, I test drove and did extensive research on myriad SUVS. The PACIFICA had the highest crash test and customer ratings. I chose the PACIFICA for its performance and style and smooth ride. Ive had my fully loaded Pearl Jade PACIFICA for two months. I live in a city where there are horrible streets. The SUV drives smooth like a luxury car; I can hardly feel the bumps (craters) in the streets. The SUV has everything that I want and is beautifully designed. I am very happy with my SUV. I sit in the vehicle a little longer in the garage and drive a little more, just to be in my PACIFICA.

This is the best vehicle I have ever owned and the best bang for my buck.

  • Best Car I have owned - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

Best car that I have owned. I have owned BMWs, Lexuses and Mercedes. Chrysler is not marketing the Pacifica correctly. Should be marketed against the Lexus and BMW SUVs. I believe that it would compare favorably.

  • Great combination! - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

Incredibly comfortable. Drives like a high-end sedan. Terrific controls and interior layout.

I couldnt pass up the $5,500 in manufacturer incentives on top of the dealer discount. $4K from Chrysler, $1K from Chrylser Financial, plus a $500 eCertificate from Chrysler. I was basically able to get a fully loaded Pacifica for the cost of a striped one. The Pacifica is a real winner in almost every category when compared to any other SUV on the market.

  • What a pleasure to drive! - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

This vehicle was a hit from the word "GO". The buying experience from our local dealerhip in Canoga Park was so easy and straight forward, my wife and I couldnt believe it. The vehicle handles like a dream and the creature comforts are almost excessive. From the NAV system to the power rear liftgate my family is wrapped in features. We really enjoy the quiet ride and awesome stereo system! My little ones love watching a DVD on the rear seat video system. With the wireless headphones, it gives my wife and I a chance to listen to the radio or chat, which is great. The Gas mileage was not great, but with my family safe, its a small price to pay.

  • Everything I expected and more! - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

I selected the AWD with heated leather seats as best for Wisconsin winters. After three months of winter driving, I found it to be safe, comfortable - a joy to drive even on slippery roads and sub-zero days. The stability of the platform on all kinds of roads and in all kinds of turns is outstanding. As to gas mileage, I knew going in that it was going to be about 20 mpg and after 1500 or so miles, 21 on the highway and 18+ in town are the rule. Likewise acceleration of a 2.5 ton vehicle is not that bad. I have had several Chrysler Vans that were a lot lighter and didnt do that much better.

2 years of ownership and to date have never had a problem--no need yet to return to the dealership. only complaint is of limited rear view and passenger side view on changing lanes. All told, this is a pleasure to drive and own.
