This Year's Model Updates:

A midlevel Touring model is added to the Pacifica lineup, and the base model loses some of its standard equipment to accommodate a new lower price. Rear parking assist is now optional.

Pros:
  • Exceptional comfort for four, drives more like a sedan than a minivan, top-notch safety scores, upscale interior design.
Cons:
  • Average room for six, not as family-friendly as most minivans, spotty reliability on early models.

  • Great car for small family - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

We have had our Pacifica for over a year and have a few minor issues but overall the car has fit our needs perfectly and I recommend this car for a small family situation. The Pacifica is very versatile. Long trips are a joy. Carrying our two dogs around is easy. City driving is ok with the higher point of view and quick acceleration. Great combination of style, comfort, and performance. We also had the cutting off problem. That was scary. If you have experienced this problem, IT CAN BE FIXED! Tell the dealer that the TSB# is 18-039-05. The condition only effects 2004s and half of the 2005s. Go the NHTSA website, reference ODI# 10159114 for more info.

  • Top Notch Vehicle - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

Have owned this vehicle for about two months now and Im pleased with our decision. Did not need to trade but like this model since it was first offered. One gets the "Mercedes" feel when driving. Having been a Mercedes owner for several years when working and driving in excess of 50,000 miles per year I know the ropes. Only negative thus far is gas mileage which is around 16-17 mpg. Great safety feel and comfort. Most of the needed add ons are standard. Great vehicle.

This vehicle is extremely nice and comfortable. The design was well thought out. It drives like a car and not so much like a minivan. It is very sporty looking and was a nice transition for me from a minivan (where I felt a little frumpy driving it).

To this point , 10,000 miles, I have had little or no problems with the vehicle. This is our 4th Chrysler and the only rap is with the gas mileage. I think the Chrysler engineers could have improved the mileage by changing the gear ratios as I have noticed the rpms are higher in the Pacifica than in my 96 and 01 sedans. Other than that, I think its one of the sharpest SUV designs around.

This SUV drives and handles more like a car but has a SUV feel. Easy to navigate, comfortable on trips but needs additional stowage behind 3rd row seat. Fuel economy is accurate except in mountainous terrian. Is pricer than a Van with fewer passanger space and stowage area. Improve 3rd row seating to accomodate adults.

  • I love my Pacifica - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

The best surprise? ... realizing that it is actually more maneuverable in tight spots than the 300M I turned in when I bought it! It is truly fun to drive! They made it zippy but steady.
