This Year's Model Updates:

The Pacifica is an all-new six-passenger vehicle that combines the attributes of a wagon, minivan and SUV.

Pros:
  • Exceptional comfort for four, drives more like a sedan than a minivan, top-notch safety scores, upscale interior design.
Cons:
  • Average room for six, not as family-friendly as most minivans, gets expensive when you add high-end options, fussy climate and radio controls.

After 10 years Im finally out of a minivan and loving it. Maybe if I was comparing it to a Lexus Id feel differently, but the Pacifica is fantastic.

Wasn’t even looking at a Pacifica when I bought one this past weekend. Saw someone in a suv I’d never seen before. Thought it was a new BMW X class vehicle. Chased the vehicle down and found it was a Pacifica. Went to a dealership & took a drive! I was hooked on the looks but then I drove it and I was in love. The ride was like a dream- smooth, great acceleration, handled corners like a tiger! Great options-6 disc DVD, CD player, cassette player, leather seats, heated seats, navigation system, sunroof, 2 rows of seats in the back that fold down & more. Bought it from Harvey@Green-Gifford in VA Beach - the best no-pressure sales person I’ve ever met!

  • XUV: perfect crossover for lifestyle - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

The overall vehicle is a perfect fit for the lifestyle of having a growing family (+dog) while still looking stylish and not minivan-like or traditional SUV massive/tippy. Design outside is excellent - clean and stylish. Interior is very good, but some cheap materials like the carpet, sun visors, and seat molding that pulled away from its screw doesnt bring it to pure luxury status. O.k. seriously what manufacturer makes a 4,500+ pound vehicle that gets better than 16 mpg city??? The folks who have panned if for MPG cant cheat physics. 250 hp engines will suck gas. That needs to be an normal expectation from any heavy V6 vehicle.

My Wife choose the Pacifica, a Great fit for her. Steering is very tight, with great response, seating is comfortable. The only negative is with 6 passengers, the luggage area in the back is very slim. GPS in dash is very easy to read and use.

I am 50 yrs old and 63" tall and found this vehicle very comfortable to drive. I have the AWD with most of the bells & whistles (MSRP $38,500).I also get a lot of looks while driving, Im hoping because of the good looks of the car. When fueling the car I also get comments on how nice it is. When driving you can feel how heavy the car is, its a GOOD feeling of security but it lacks a bit in power. If it had a V8 it would be that much better. Overall, we (my wife & I)really like the car.

  • Just Test Drive It ! - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

Ive drove all the brands, Toyota, Cadillac, Ford, Honda, et al. This vehicle has it all. The interior is exquisite and the desing perfectly refined. The first time I reached over to the passenger side door I could believe how wide this vehicle is. This is truly a leap forward for Chrysler. Quality, styling and road handling are superior to its competitors. The purchase value is awesome.

  • Great Crossover Vechicle! - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

Great vehicle for long trips. I traded a woody PT Cruiser for more comfort. The PT got only 25 on a long trip; Im getting a consistent 20-22 after only 5K on the odometer. Im going to full synthetic oil at the 6K oil change for more mpg, hopefully. Like my PT, I get a lot of positive comments from passers- by. I love the magnesium color. My neighbor traded their Jeep for a Pacifica after looking at mine. Stated it had more room than the Jeep.

Coming out of a CLK320 was tough but no choice with child car seat to deal with. Love the look and the color Butane Blue. Captains chairs in second row was not a real plus but certainly add to look and comfort for adults who have to ride there. Access to 3rd row is not convenient but workable. Not much storage space if youve got the third row being used for passengers. Drives great and felt very secure in bad weather driving. Handled great in pouring rain on highway. Its one heavy vehicle. I do agree with some other comments about blindspots and tough to see out of back but too soon for me to say definitively.

  • So Far So Good! - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

So far it has been a joy to drive and I noticed two minor cosmetic defects in the workmanship that teh dealer will resolve.
