This Year's Model Updates:

A midlevel Touring model is added to the Pacifica lineup, and the base model loses some of its standard equipment to accommodate a new lower price. Rear parking assist is now optional.

Pros:
  • Exceptional comfort for four, drives more like a sedan than a minivan, top-notch safety scores, upscale interior design.
Cons:
  • Average room for six, not as family-friendly as most minivans, spotty reliability on early models.

  • Its the BEST! - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

I just recently purchased this car and Im in heaven - I LOVE to drive it!! It is extremely comfortable, has a ton of power and rides very smooth! Its loaded with extras like steering wheel mounted radio controls, dual zone climate control, programmable garage door opener - lots of storage space in the center consoles, too. The third row seat has plenty of room even for adults which is unusual in a crossover or SUV. The step in height is great which makes it easy to get kids in and out of car seats. The only thing I wish it had standard was a back up sensor - the visibility from the back window is less than Im used to.

This has been a troublfree vehicle fr the past 10 months. It is perfect for a family vehicle as well as for hauling the kids and their friends around town. It also comes in handy when you need to transport something large that does not fit in the car. It is a perfect all- around vehicle and I would not hesitate to get another one.

Great riding car however it feels slightly underpowered even though it has a 250hp engine. Fuel economy is not great but not that bad for the size engine. With the addition of the auto-on headlights and memory seats the car would be perfect.

This is the most practical vehicle Ive ever seen. My wife didnt want a minivan and we didnt want to deal with a huge SUV, this was a perfect marriage of both. Lots of room, rides like a car and built like a tank - it actually gets decent gas mileage. Chrysler really needs to market this vehicle a little better - there is nothing like it out there.

Handling and finish are very nice as was my dealer experience. However, I have had the newest software downloaded but there is no improvement in my mileage. I drive @90% highway and have constantly experienced 16-19 mpg. and in town 13 to 15mpg.

Did much research prior to buying and just finished the 300 mile break-in. I think it is a beautiful blend of comfort and style. Drives nicely and ride feels good, but does lug a bit when picking up speed at on ramps. It is a large car, but I feel extremely safe in it. I love the many features it has - it seems to me everything you can imagine. The first time I test drove I felt some knobs etc. seemed a little cheap even though they looked nice but was comparing to a friends 150K mercedes sports car, so go figure. Im liking the whole package and the leather interior is very nice! I do park further away to make sure I can exit easily! Will update review after a few thousand miles.

  • Handles Great - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

We live in Palm Beach County, Florida and as evryone who lives here it can ran pretty heavy and This Car can handle driving threw the worst of down pours, You can drive threw a puttle doing 45mph and the car will not hydro- plane. The only problem is that sometime the car stalls for no reason and the paint chips easy and the roof rack makes noise when driving. Other that that we love it..
