Overview & Reviews
A midlevel Touring model is added to the Pacifica lineup, and the base model loses some of its standard equipment to accommodate a new lower price. Rear parking assist is now optional.
- Exceptional comfort for four, drives more like a sedan than a minivan, top-notch safety scores, upscale interior design.
- Average room for six, not as family-friendly as most minivans, spotty reliability on early models.

Nice car - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By Bernadette B - March 2 - 7:13 amI didnt want a mini. This is the next best thing. Can still carry 6 if I need to. I enjoy driving it and like the way it looks, sort of like the Mercedes they just came out with, but there are a few issues that should have been addressed with the 2005 model.

Stalls While Driving - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By Heather Moraitis - February 27 - 10:10 pmI have had this car for 2 months and it stalls while I am driving. The power steering freezes and I cannot maneuver the car. It has happened around town and while I was on the interstate. I am fortunate I have not been seriously injured along with my 2 children. The dealership cannot identify the problem and therefore says that nothing is wrong. I am taking steps towards filing a lemon law complaint. I am trying to get help from Chrysler, but the customer service representative told me there is nothing they can do unless they can determine the problem.

Luxury Ride at a Price - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By pdt66 - February 23 - 12:43 pmLoaded with every option except seat memory (GPS, 2nd row Entertainment System, Premium Leather, 19" wheels, UConnect, side airbags, laminated windows, power liftgate, etc). This car is a VERY nice ride....more luxurious on the inside than my Chrysler 300. Ride is smooth, quiet and responsive....a real pleasure to drive. Seating configurations (third row) are many and provide max flexibility. Intermezzo sound system is very nice. UConnect works great with Bluetooth enabled cell phone. Overall an extremely well appointed and full featured car -- great for a family of four that wants the option to ocassionally carry 6 passengers.

2005 Touring AWD - Very Pleased - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By 2005 Pac Owner - February 5 - 4:20 amIve driven 3000 miles and I am extremely happy with this auto. A third of these miles have been driven in bad Winter weather. The Pacifica with AWD has handled these Winter condition better than I expected. Far better than my previous SUV. The road handling is exceptional. I have never felt safer in an automobile. The engine power has incresed substantially since the first 1500 miles. It has plenty under the hood. I do not understand the reviews that complain about the lack of power. I drive on hilly roads and the Pacifica has plenty of get up an go. I have averaged 19.4 MPG after the first 1000 miles. This is all Winter driving with a mix of city and highway. Not too bad.

Guidance System - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By HankNJ1954 - January 17 - 8:06 amLove the car, but did not get it with the map built into the dash, so they installed another model. It opens up in front of the heat/air controls so that the sensor doesnt see the people, it sees the hot back of the display and turns off the heat. Would not do that again, but otherwise love it - took it on a 2700 mile spin last week - fun car. Hank

Glad I bought one - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By Owner - January 1 - 3:30 amThis vehicle is a quantum leap from older Chrysler designs. The interior is both stylish and functional. You can see and appreciate the European design influence on a formal evening out, and the interior room and practicality when driving your kids back to college. Its a bit sluggish in lower gears (leaving a stop light), but passing acceleration from 50 mph to 80 mph is excellent. Road handling and stability are outstanding. I am very satisfied.

A great vehicle - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By Charlotte - December 9 - 12:53 amIve only owned my Pacifica for a month, but its a joy to drive. After driving a Jeep Cherokee for several years, the ride, handling and comfort of the Pacifica are excellent. After being injured in a side-impact taxi accident last October, its also reassuring to drive the Pacifica with its 5 star crash ratings. The rear area provides plenty of space for my 2 dogs in their crates.
