Overview & Reviews
A midlevel Touring model is added to the Pacifica lineup, and the base model loses some of its standard equipment to accommodate a new lower price. Rear parking assist is now optional.
- Exceptional comfort for four, drives more like a sedan than a minivan, top-notch safety scores, upscale interior design.
- Average room for six, not as family-friendly as most minivans, spotty reliability on early models.

We love it - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By D Mays - May 11 - 8:53 pmWe have 2 children, one of which is at the age where she wants to have friends along. We needed a vehicle that could comfortably hold 6 people, yet we didnt want a mini-van. This is the ideal vehicle for this!

How much I love my new Pacificia - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By Shirley Wellbrock - April 18 - 1:13 pmThis car is wonderful to drive. I wish I could have a better than 20 mpg average but I do a lot of town driving. Not as economical as I would prefer but the overall performance is great. I have been an Acura 3.5RL driver and I was not sure that I wanted a Chrysler when my husband insisted that we get this car. But we have been very pleased with the Ltd. that we purchased. We did order the bigger wheels and the car is loaded with nice features. Performs well in our wet weather and am very glad we got the all wheel drive model. Roomy for us and our dog (which is why we went to the wagon and sold our Acura) and all of its necessities for traveling. Very roomy for suitcases, etc.

I TOOK A CHANCE - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By MAXIALE - April 1 - 5:13 amI was skeptical about purchasing an American car but I took a chance. It was SNOWING in Vegas when I bought it. I was kicking myself when I drove off the lot with a brand new model with no track record. So far its worth its weight in gold. This car drives like a dream. Acceleration is adequate and more so with the use of midgrade octane gas. I drove from Vegas to Santa Barbara in pouring rain and the Pacifica did not fail me. I felt Safe. The AWD is excellent. The AC system is overwhelming efficient. The car has toys for everyone. Sunroof for me, Navigation for hubby, DVD for baby and Gaming hookups for Jr. Cheaper to insure than an suv, and it finally got recommended by consumer reports.

Worth It - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By Robert - January 23 - 5:56 pmThis is the first new car we bought since our marriage 12 years ago. My wife wanted a 300C, but I wanted the Dodge Magnum. Finally, after consideration for our kids and long- distance traveling, practicality took hold and we "settled" on a loaded Pacifica, but what a great choice we made! I just returned from our latest trip to Eureka Springs, AR from our home in Oklahoma. The wife & kids had a great time but the most fun I had was driving on extremely steep, windy roads. I was astonished at how effortlessly the car took to the road. I passed several vehicles going as fast as they dared. I got 19.2 mpg for the 273 mile roundtrip, but 23.6 mpg on return leg by keeping speeds < 65 mph

Marios Review - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By Mario - December 4 - 12:23 pmThis is a well built vehicle that handles well especially in the snow belt of Upstate New York. It has been driven from Troy, Ny to St. Louis, MO at least twice in the last 2 years and has handled exceptionally well with a smooth ride and gas mileage as suggested by Chrysler (24-25 mpg) on the highway.

Great alternative to SUV - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By Sherry - December 2 - 2:26 pmSlightly underpowered, but overall a very comfortable riding vehicle the integrated Video system fabulous except when screen is down you have no rear view, but quality sound! Seating for 6 is nice. Very roomy 3rd row. Very hard to back up, large blind spots in back corners. But that is the only downfall of the vehicle. Vehicle appears to be more expensive than it is. We not some instability in cornering but over all we really are happy with it.
