This Year's Model Updates:

A midlevel Touring model is added to the Pacifica lineup, and the base model loses some of its standard equipment to accommodate a new lower price. Rear parking assist is now optional.

Pros:
  • Exceptional comfort for four, drives more like a sedan than a minivan, top-notch safety scores, upscale interior design.
Cons:
  • Average room for six, not as family-friendly as most minivans, spotty reliability on early models.

I looked at alot of cars that could carry 6 people with many as many features that the AWD Limited offered at a reasonable price. This car does just that. The ride is great and it handles very well to.I have had it on several long trips with family and friends and all have nothing but great things to say about it.The dealership was great, very helpful with questions concerning the car.The financing and rebates definitely help make my decision to get this car but the single most fact about this car that made my decision to get it was the safety rating it had.For what I got any other car would have coast thousands more.

I have a 2005 fully loaded pacifica. I love it! I have had no problems. I have almost had it a year now. The back window does take some getting use too (size) backing up. But no problem after you have had it a couple weeks. The ride is great, gas Id say average for the size of the vehicle. Son loves the dvd. Cant go wrong with this one... Recommend!!

not sure why reviews down the pacifica its great get 23 on average mile per gal. it drives like a top notch car mercedes. this is great people who complain must not keep up maint. anything will break if you dont do maint. on time. also consider driving conditions as well. if you drive like a race car driver you put the engine under stress its not designed for. its an suv guys not a honda accord.

I love my pacifica, it handels the snow better than my husbands suburban. A little small for large families, i only have two children.

  • Safe! Safe! Safe! - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

I bought this car on July 29th and on August 5th someone was in a right turn only lane and merged left going 45mph into my brand new car! After the initial shock wore off and I looked at the car, it looked horrible on the outside but IF my girls would have been with me they wouldnt have been touched! The support in the doors are awesome! I was glad to see that whoever might have been in the back would have been fine and let me tell you, the impact was enough to spin me twice! I rate (for safety) it a 10!

Just picked up our 05 Touring edition. Very pleased with comfort, styling, handling, and looks. Lots of bells and whistles in a versatile package. We only have one car, so this was a perfect combination of safety, style and function for us. Could be described as a luxury car in an SUV body that handles like a sports car. Built on a Mercedes frame, its perfect for those who want a luxury car that can carry more than four people. It can do this without the stiff ride and top heavy features of a truck body SUV or the stigma and poor handling of a mini van. Acceleration is fine, ride is smooth and solid, with long wheel base and large tires. Highly recommended.

I really enjoy driving this car. Its a little hard on the pocketbook for the gas but I feel extremely safe in it. Its great in the snow and I have no problems going up steep hills.

  • Love it! - Except for gas mileage - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

We pretty much love the Pacifica except that we havent gotten more than 18 miles to the gallon in a year even though its sticker said 17-24.

I love my Pacifica. It handles really nice and is great on wet or snowy roads. My only complaint are the blind spots caused by the high Beltline. My husband put Circle mirrors on my side mirrors so I could see whats next to me.

There is only one suggestion to improve this vehicle: Add a standard "Parking Assist Sensors due to the lenght of the vehicle. This is a MUST feature for this car Not an option). Fuel efficiency is not that great in the city, however we noticed a remarkable difference in the highway, specially for long trips. Great car, extremely confortable, nice to look, great to drive. After driving an Explorer and swearing I would NEVER buy an American car again due to the nightmare witht he Explorer, it took the Pacifica test -drive to reconsider (But never a gain a FORD!). Just an the Parking Assist sensors and I will buy a second Pacifica!
