Overview & Reviews
A midlevel Touring model is added to the Pacifica lineup, and the base model loses some of its standard equipment to accommodate a new lower price. Rear parking assist is now optional.
- Exceptional comfort for four, drives more like a sedan than a minivan, top-notch safety scores, upscale interior design.
- Average room for six, not as family-friendly as most minivans, spotty reliability on early models.

Wasnt my first choice but I like it. - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By Chris - October 3 - 7:13 pmI choose the Pacifica after the deal on my first choice, the Chrysler 300, fell through. I wasnt about to pay sticker for the 300 and there were fantastic incentives on the Pacifica and I only drive Chryslers. It has turned out to be a great vehicle. The interior is actually more stylish and more luxurious then the 300. The exterior is also very well designed and I feel the Pacifica stands out among the crowd of other crossover vehicles. Performance is not the best, it always feels sluggish. It handles well for such a large heavy car. I enjoy driving it. My biggest complaint is the fuel economy, its absolutely terrible.

2005 PACIFICA IS NOT READY - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By M0N1QUE - September 20 - 10:00 amI love the luxury look of the car. Very functional, but Crysler is still experimenting with the customers money. They should not continue to sell this car until all of the problems have been solved.

2K5 Pac TAWD fully loaded - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By VJ - July 23 - 10:03 pmAfter having a test drive, I bought one with 14K miles on it (14 months back). A great car to have and ride with family. Regarding mileage I am not able to conclude the exact MPG as it varies between 14 in city to 20 in Freeway. In a trip all of a sudden the airbag light got on while driving. I did not get the answer for that yet. I took the exit and stopped the engine and resumed after a while. Other than this, the vehicle is so far the best value for money than other similar vehicles of expensive brands.

The NON SUV........ SUV - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By DavidL - June 6 - 12:20 amFinally a vehicle for those of us that want SUV like qualities, but car like looks, ride and comfort. I have had my Pacifica for a month and 1/2, recently trading in my 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I loved my Jeep functionality, but did not like the ride or the handling. In comes the Pacifica... a more stable, better riding and handling, super comfortable SUV like vehicle. I do not miss my Jeep at all. This is one awesome AWD vehicle. Handles super on snow and slush covered roads as I recently found out ! Very pleasent suprises are the comfort and quietness, along with all the goodies on the Touring package. To top it off, I am getting better gas mileage too. Well Done Chrysler !

What we expected - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By Tom - May 26 - 5:23 pmThe Pacifica, except learning to deal with some blind spots has performed at or beyond our expectations. Too new to have any problems, lets hope it stays that way, the car looks great, fits our family comfortablby and the extras, dvd player, etc. are welcome additions. We drove firends Pacificas and our has made us very happy with our choice.

I Love This Vehicle - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By Mc_Lani - May 25 - 11:43 pmAfter about a year of car shopping, the Pacifica caught our eye. The reviews were "so-so" and I hadnt really seen any around. After a test drive and more shopping around, we agreed this was the choice for us. Its as dreamy owning one as Id hoped. At first, there were blindspots in the rear corners, but now Im accustomed to using my side mirrors and being more cautious (which is a good thing anyway, right?). Wish the gas mileage were better - wish ALL vehicle gas mileage were better! If you have a large family, this isnt your car (the second row seats fold up and you really dont want to climb over). We have a family of 4 and it fits like a glove. We cant wait to take a roadtrip!!

No more luxury cars for me - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By Angela - April 22 - 4:43 pmThis car suits my needs perfectly. I had an Expedition, but it was too big. A van, but it was a VAN, luxury sedans, but I felt I had to be so neat and careful in them. This car is huge inside, tons of leg room, when using the autostick, you get a lot more get up and go and can zip in and out of traffic much better! I love that if I leave lights on, it shuts them off. DVD system separate from CD system ROCKS...

new pacifica - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By mark - April 16 - 3:46 pmcar is comfortable to drive but is very hard to see your surroundings when backing out of parking spaces and such. The fuel economy is terrible, only getting about 12 around town and 18 to 19 on the highway. The car should be great in the winter with AWD. It has plenty of room for all passengers and like the heated seats for all.

A really nice car - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By JimD - April 15 - 8:23 amHave owned lots of cars. My wife says this is the nicest car we have ever had. Traded in a Mountaineer because the ride was harsh, loud, and wobbly. This Pacifica feels glued down, it is so stable, and what a great ride, and so quiet. Lots of room, and a luxury feel to everything. So far, we are really happy with the car. Mileage on the highway is about 22-cant complain.
