This Year's Model Updates:

A midlevel Touring model is added to the Pacifica lineup, and the base model loses some of its standard equipment to accommodate a new lower price. Rear parking assist is now optional.

Pros:
  • Exceptional comfort for four, drives more like a sedan than a minivan, top-notch safety scores, upscale interior design.
Cons:
  • Average room for six, not as family-friendly as most minivans, spotty reliability on early models.

  • Great Idea and design lousy quality - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

Loved the vehicle when we first got it. It is a great road car and fun to drive. The problems are the dealership and the car company. The unit has experienced electrical system problems and been back four times. the dealership failed to address the issues and told my wife to drive the car with a bad alternator because they were on national backorder. When we complained they fixed it. When we filled out the customer survey the dealership employee literally attacked my wife on her next warranty visit. Chrysler was notified and did nothing. Wont buy another Chryser product

  • Great Car, Fun to Drive - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

I chose the Pacifica after looking at several other choices, and I have not regretted my choice once. I really love this vehicle theres room for everyone plus room for gear. I chose the front-wheel drive Touring sedan (for better gas mileage) with the 2 rear captains seats and the 2 way-back seats that fold down, rather than a bench back seat. I also have the better radio with 5-CD changer. We take this vehicle on vacation every year (a 13-hour drive each way), and Im never cramped or exhausted when we arrive at our destination. Chrysler has a winner with the Pacifica. When its time to replace our current model, Ill look for another Pacifica.

  • My wife & I both have 2005 Pacificas. - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

My wife & I leased two 05 Chrysler Pacificas in Feb. 2005. My wifes car is FWD and mine is AWD. Both are Touring Models. The cars are fun to drive. They hold the road well in all weather conditions. They drive more like a car than a Suv or Mini-Van. I feel my AWD model is a little underpowered off the line, but it does well in passing situations on the highway. My wife and I both have approximately 8,000-9,000 miles on our cars. Her FWD model is doing much better on gas than my AWD model. My wife is averaging 18.9 mpg combined city/hwy. As were Im only averaging 13.5 city/hwy. Both cars have been in the shop for a safety recalls. My AWD model had control module replaced affecting the A/C

Very good road handling, especially when it is raining. Holds the road well. Excellent MPG on highway. I was really surprised at the distance that i could get. Easy to park and maneuver. Great car. Will upgrade in a year or two.

We love our new Pacifica. My husband used to drive Mercedes and Cadillac and he says that driving this car is even better. It handles like a dream, is extremely comfortable and it is beautiful inside and out. It is also highly functional as an SUV without losing any of the luxuries and comfort of a sedan. I have had people stop me on the street and ask me about it. And my son ... the car snob of the century says "its tight." There is no higher praise than that :-).

  • Better than a minivan - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

If youre tired of driving a minivan the Pacifica is an excellent choice. Nice to drive. If you only need seating for 6 occasionally this vehicle is for you.

  • Great New Car - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

This car is new and I am very pleased so far. It handles well and has a very comfortable ride. Only one minor problem on delivery, the sun roof needed adjustment. The mileage is reasonable for size (20mi/gal).

  • What a great vehicle!! - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

I have loved driving this automobile since i took my test drive - knew i had to have it. Rides like a dream. I own the 2005 4wd touring edition, loaded but without the navigation system. Had some minor glitches (sunroof rattle, squeaky engine belt) that needed fixing, but this car still makes me enjoy driving everyday i get in it.

  • sporty wagon with european suv style - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
    By -

I was drawn to this vehicle after owning the Volvo S80 T6 sadan. I was tired of the expenses involved with the up keep and repairs of European cars, but I love their style. I was happy to find what I was looking for in an "American" car. Style, room, and most of all, the type of ride I expect from any other expensive vehicle. The price is right, and the extended warantee was well worth the buy.

  • 2005 Pac Signature Series AWD - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
    By -

Excellent car, but as usual, poor visiblility out of back glass. Height is way too low on all armrest. Gas mileage is subpar. Needs to be able to toggle average miles per gallon. HID lights are nice for flat roads, but not on twisty roads. Too isolated of a beam. Seats need be longer.
