Well folks, Im still waiting for the convertible top motor. I had to pay $762.00 back in June before they would order the part and they still cant say when it will come in. Its missed two due dates and now theyre saying December, maybe. They cant give me an explanation, either. Other than that the car has been running fine, though I only drive 10 miles a day to and from work. Thats all for now.

Wife loves this car. Traded in Saab Turbo Convertable for this Loaded PT Cruiser. Great riding car on the highway. 28 mpg on highway and 19 in town.

  • Best car I ever had! - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser

Ive owned a hardtop Cruiser since 2002 and enjoyed thoroughly. This is the first convertible in my life, and Im ecstatic! One of the best things is the people who shout "Great car!" as I drive along with the top down. Theres something about the retro look in a convertible that gets everyone jazzed. The car is easy and comfortable to drive (even standard transmission, like mine, which makes it feel sporty); and is as reliable as all the Chrysler products Ive ever had--which is to say, totally reliable. Get in, turn key, no worries.

  • PT Convertables are AWESOME - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser

I have had nothing but a good experience with my PT convertable. Its sporty and fun to drive. In the year Ive had it the only time Ive had to bring it back to the dealership was to get an oil change. The design is unique, unlike any other convertable. When driving with the top down I know Im in a good looking convertable and I feel safer because of the stylish roll bar. Unlike other convertables, in a PT passengers in the back have plenty of leg room. If youre looking for a fun, reliable, reasonably priced convertable I highly recommend you check out the PT.

  • "Just Bought" Evaluation - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser

I just bought this 05 PT Cruiser GT with 31,000 miles last week, so I dont know all about the car yet; this is just to give my initial thoughts about the car. So far I absolutely love the car. The only downside to driving it I have found so far is when you start it, it sounds like a common, weak 4-banger that will make your right leg sore to drive it. Of course then you put it in drive, barely touch the throttle and it takes off like a rocket, all while the motor sounds like its barely even trying. While driving down the road, just imagine you have a very powerful v6 engine under the hood, and you will never know the difference. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

  • The Best Car EVER - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser

I got my PT in 2006, when it had only 57 miles on it. It has 156,000 miles on it. I have pushed it to its limits and then some. I moved from WI to TX and hauled 9x its max load pulling a trailer. The car did not give out not even when I knew I broke the engine. Literally. Never did it leave me or my family on the side of the road. Best Car I have Ever Owned. I rebuilt the old engine and purrrrrs like a kitty....

Nothing better than a drive down country roads with the top down. The turbo engine gives pickup that never disappoints.
