Niche vehicle - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By Rob Man - January 18 - 11:06 amOkay, its not for everybody. As a "mini-mini-van", it has no peer. Get the 5-speed and enjoy a modicum of performance (and the joy of rowing). As for utility, its HUGE inside. With the limited edition, you get all of the creature comforts plus a fairly good handling vehicle. Its noisy above 60 and the chassis gives away its truck heritage. Also, the trade value drops by half in only two years. Still - Id buy another in a heartbeat! I often coose it over my Japanese luxury-performance car and my bread-and- butter Japanese economy car for sheer fun. I repaet that its not for everybody, but if youre looking for a vehicle with certain special qualities, the PT Cruiser may just be it!

Dream Cruiser is a Dream! - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By Barb Jellison - January 13 - 11:06 pmIve had my turbo Dream Cruiser for 2 years. It has never been in for service, except oil changes. Everything has worked perfectly. I am amazed at how solid and quiet the double layer top is when up. With the top down the seats are set deep enough to be safe for my dogs to ride along. We drop the top on warm winter days and turn on the heated seats. It can go up or down at a stop light with a turn of the locking latch and one button push, and the windows go down with it! The stereo with a 6-CD changer is great, and the auto stick is a fun feature. I get more compliments on this car than any I have had before, especially the Lava Red color with matching top. The "Smart glass" is amazing too.

Best New Car - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By Jelvidge - December 12 - 5:40 pmI picked my car on line. For the price I paid, it was by far, my best car buying experience. I love the unique body style. I love the 0 to 60 in about 8 seconds. I love the roomy head and leg room. I love the visability, with no real blind spots. On line I was able to see if it was in my price range, and figure what my payment should be. I actually enjoyed my car buying experience. People frequently have made positive comments on the car, style, color (cool vanilla). There was no having to adjust to a new car, it was like it was made to but you right into the perfect comfort zone.

Turbo is the only way to go - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By V eronical - December 11 - 2:00 amLooks and is smaller then regular PT. Handles nicely on accelaration because of turbo. Regular gas saves at pump a bit. Younger feel to it. Deck space really small, but compensation is the freedom of the convertiable. Top easy to open and close. Safety bar looks cool. Ride is definetily a sports car. Front wheel drive only maybe not for all. Seems air tight when closed up while driving.

BEWARE...may cause rubber necking! - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser

Not only does it command people to stare at you, but the ride is unbelievable for the price of the car. I have a 5 speed manual and it shifts very smooth in and out of gears. The acceleration is excellent. Handles well in rain and will not leak like other convertibles. My only complaint is the factory stereo. Very cheap. Noise is limited with the top down. I would say this is one of the funnest cars Ive ever driven. I used to laugh when I heard there was a PT Cruiser club. Now Im seriously considering joing it. I love the car that much. Only regret is I didnt buy it sooner.

Fun, Economical and Reliable - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By Sherry Griffin - October 29 - 4:30 amLove this car! Really enjoying the sporty look and feel, standard transmission and one-touch control for the convertible top. Have had my car for a little more than 2 years and it is very reliable. The fact that it has a comfortable back seat was a big selling feature, too. It easily accommodates four adults. Gas mileage is 27-29MPG consistently. Would recommend the PT Cruiser Convertible to all ages!

Having a Blast - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By USMADAD - October 24 - 10:00 amPicked up one of the first GT Turbo Convertibles in April. It has been a joy to drive. It has more power than I will probably ever need but it is nice to be able to get up to traffic flow speed in a heartbeat. It is convenient to put the top up or down as conditions require while sitting at a traffic light. Look forward to driving it every day to and from the office.

Who would expect this... - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By chantel - October 8 - 6:53 pmI have had my Touring Ed. auto 4dr wagon since 5/05, bought brand new. Now with 3 years under my belt and a little less than 18,000 miles on my Cruiser. I have had more problems than I expected from it. OK just the other day my CD player went out but due to it being under the 3 years/36,000 miles warranty, I now cant get it fixed. I have a problem with the oil light coming on for no reason, I can turn the ignition off and back on and the light will not come back on. The dealership tells me they cant find anything wrong. I have had it (while sitting at a red light) rumble, shake and RPM gauge fluctuate. I guess it could be worse. I hope this isnt a sign of things to come though.
