  • Very bad car - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser

This car has the worst turn radius! It also has lots of problems with the engine. My blew at 70,000 miles and Chrysler wont fix it. I advise you not to buy this car. I use to be so happy with it until a well taken care of blew for no reason.

The turbo failed completely at 29,000 miles nearly destroying the engine. At 36,035 mi the car began to barely run, jerking on any acceleration, stalling if air conditioner is used, backfiring and putting.

I think this is the greatest car! Not only does it handle well but it gets a lot of attention while driving. Nice pick up... love driving on the open road.

Love the little car. So much HP and speed. Seats are too firm and center console could have been designed better, but overall, fantastic little car.

  • What a blast! - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser

I was skeptical and was talked into this car by my fiancee. She wanted a convertible and for our price range (<30K) it hit the mark, especially after rebates and decent finance terms. As soon as we hit the road, we instantly fell in love with this car.In inconsideration that we own a 2003 Infinity I35, I like driving the PT more. I was used to having a 1.8L German turbocharged engine under my right foot - this engine is equally as responsive and quick. The 2.4L turbo is a must and the leather interior makes it a bit more refined "toy" car. I hope she likes the I35. Ill be taking the PT to work!

I have had absolutely no problems with this vehicle. I just at had to replace the axle shaft but that was the first major thing to go wrong with this vehicle. It gets 32 mpg and I have changed the oil and rotated the tires every 3,000 miles. Highly recommend this car if you cant afford something like a Hybrid!

I knew that I wanted this car, when I first saw it on the Chrysler web site.I had to have one.As soon as the cars started hitting the dealerships,I called around until I found the one I wanted.A Black GT Convertible. This car to me is everything retro. It makes me feel like a kid again.I know that it will be a classic.I do not have anything negative to say about this car.I know that I will enjoy it.I plan to keep it forever.

What can I say! This one really takes you back to the 50s & 60s Hot Rod days in Hi-Tech style. Extremely comfortable on short and longer trips... gas mileage is excellent when you consider what you are driving. We have two E Class Mercedes Benzs and you can see and feel the little crossovers such as "AutoStick" and PWs on dash. Handling is outstanding. Cruising on Interstate @ 77mph is a walk in the park. Acceleration from 0 to 100 is trip... pulls hard all the way... 4 wheel discs stop just as well. At age 62, you can really appreciate this one... I do. Like the sedan... Love the Ragtop. Quality,Class and Style.

  • PT 2 FUN - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser

Never regretted buying the PT. My wife absolutely loves it. The only drawback is the turning radius. Everything else is fantastic. It would be nice to get better gas mileage but with the 220 Turbo it is still good.

Our PT Ragtop is our first convertible in almost 30 years. We werent looking for a hotrod but a drop top with seating for four or room for two sets of golf clubs and some nice styling. Our PT is effectively the base model with 16" wheels and a flawless black paint job. Its great for a sunny day cruise, an evening out, or a run to the lake on the weekend. We bought it for fun...thats just what we got! Its a great little rag top at a good price!
